Product photography is an interesting topic. Because it can also work the other way around. Sometimes, conveying the beauty and the x-factor of a product (or a person) in a photo is challenging. This is not only seen with watches but also with items like cars and houses. And indeed, with people too. Some new cars, when first seen in a photo, might seem underwhelming, no matter how beautifully the photo has been taken and edited. Yet, when you see it in person on the street, the impression is entirely different and you're completely amazed. And as you already mentioned, sometimes it indeed works the other way around.
You are right , I’ve noticed that objects that are photographed with a narrow lens such as a 50mm , in other word close ups will almost always over embellish the product , however , and to your example, a wide lens such as a 30 mm and under could cause the opposite effect if camera angle and lighting are not meticulously calibrated.

Yes, the focal length of the lens and the distance from which the photo was taken both make a significant difference. This is especially noticeable with faces, but the same principle applies to watches.

I cannot unseen this blue on date. I see it now even in videos on YouTube.
do you guys go with this blue staff?
is anyone consider to go with blue dial to hide this blue effect on a date?
I guess on blue dial its less visible or average guy will not know if it should be like this or not

You can not hide it with blue dial. Blue on cyclops will remain because the dw is always blue.
Just buy the rep you like already or go gen. You have two options :)

Plenty of genuine Rolex watches with a blue tint on the cyclops.

do you have VSF with date?
Wrong question, the question should be "do you have a gen, and are you being so critical of that?"
And the answer is nearly always no cause not many people have a gen, and those that do don't look at them to see if anything is how it should be on a Rolex, because it's a Rolex!
And despite what YouTube "spot a fake" videos will tell you a Rolex is far from perfect.

A VSF (or Clean, or ARF) Sub is 95-98% of the way to what is for most of us a £12000 watch and on a good day you'll get one in m2m for under £400.

It's near enough, with a bit of thought most people will realise you've probably not dropped £12k on a watch anyway, if that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, buy a gen you can afford, a nice Seiko fifty five fathoms maybe.

Blue on date glass is present on gen.
So now I am confused if it can be caunted as a give away at all

Why is the space between the crown and the 12 o’clock marker far on the gen? Is this from an AD? Looks like a modded rep with gen crystal and bezel.

Nice comparison. I have both movements but I prefer the VS3135 because of parts availability.

Amazing thread ! Thanks guys !! Really helpful. I have my own vsf with gen hands and also bought date wheel (not installed). I have also installed a 126619 insert as I loved the color.

I am very lured to also change the dial to gen. I understand there are not many differences on the color or text, depth, texture, except the WG offcouse and the M. Any opinions ?! I appreciate it ! Thanks !

Gen hands are enough in my opinion. The white gold reflects off the steel indices enough to give a white gold colour in light. In my experience, either having one or the other works if you are budget oriented. Enjoy! Looks good.

Paradise! (SE Qld)
We can also note that the gen indices are more rounded and much softer than VSF. However, if we remember the early days of Noob, BP and ARF, which had knife edge indices, we are very lucky to have something as incredible as VSF!
Ha, that makes me feel old, I remember everyone raving over noob & Arf, I had an Arf Sub and thought it was awesome!
