My concern, especially with the 9015 reps, is the structural integrity.

Meaning, all the Mark series with 9015 from various factories (ZF, M+, BLSF) don't have any movement clamps securing the movement to the mount or the case.

This means, the only thing keeping the movement in place and not falling through is the crown stem. That's a lot of stress on the crown stem.

I had issues with the ZF Mark XX, since it used a metal spring to lock the movement/holder once the caseback is screwed down. If you weren't careful, the whole movement would shift while tightening the caseback, making the movement rotate, thereby shifting the date position relative to the date window.

Do the V7F reps with the A2892/SW300 movements not suffer from this same issue?

I believe the 2892 uses clamps. I have not had issues with the method of movement holding in any of my ZF IWCs, but the heavily modified 9015 ZF uses is unrepairable and unreliable in my use. I will not buy another ZF with a 9015, and prefer an a2892 in general, but consider it an acceptable compromise if the M+ uses a stock 9015. When the caseback is tight, the movement cannot shift and there should not be pressure on the stem, however one should be careful that the movement doesn't shift very slightly when tightening the back.

I have read somewhere that even on the gens the date is often slightly misaligned because the movement shifts when the caseback is tightened.

It’s nice to see the date wheel font is significantly improved compared to previous pictures. But i do agree the sunburst looks to dull…pics of regular Mark XX’s had much more prominent sunburst than that

It looks good to me.
The only weakness is probably the anti reflex coating but that's something you can address afterwards if it bothers you

As I said - it's more prominent on the videos.
Dials always look dull on Steve's QC photos. My APSF JLC MUT Small Seconds looked like it had a solid white dial on his QC photos :ROFLMAO:

I have three Mark XX from M+F and V7F. My favorite to wear is the Patrouille Suisse from M+F. Maybe the AR coating of V7F is better but I still like it a lot.

Looks great. If you want better AR you can always contact Prof Crystals.

Sunburst is very good in M+F. AR coating is the weak point.

Yes. Like it has been said, the finishing on M+ is superior, and the seconds hand is straight not curved, which is a beaut. Does the Eas-X system work?

Thanks for sharing.

You see it in the photo with an original IWC leather strap, but EASX-CHANGE will also work with the one M+F will provide you.

Mine finally appeared in the tracking in Europe last night, so it should be with me before the end of next week. Seeing you photos, I am even more excited.

Did you swap the strap, because the M+F was crap, or because you preferred a leather one?

I like the IWC leather strap because it’s very soft and comfortable to wear.
The M+F strap is very stiff, inside it has a leather that is too shiny and feels like plastic. However, M+F will also provide you with a rubber strap (white or black) which is soft and comfortable for the summer.

Thank you. So I guess I will eventually also order an IWC strap. I have an APSF Jaeger LeCoultre rep, and the "leather" strap that came with it was terrible so I swapped it for a Hirsch alligator strap immediately. Maybe I can find an IWC strap somewhere for a lower price than at the boutique (I believe there it's 350 Euro).

Online on CR24 I found used IWC leather straps in perfect condition for €160/180.
