I've owned a gen 3750.50 for about a year now and I find it on my wrist over any other. The hesalite crystal is super easy to buff out with some polywatch, and the band is very comfy. Love this history of this piece. It has a very STRONG following among those who collect the gens. For how long this model has been out i'm surprised there isn't huge market for it? I would love to see this a super rep of this one day... I would collect them all..... Still would love to see what people have to say about the new ceramic piece, and if it is inded 44.25mm. Somebody do a review already!

Guys, so many messages in this topic, and Ive read some pages but I could not find the answer, so sorry if I'm asking this question for the 1000th time.

But Im a bit lost on the case diameter. Does a 38.7mm speedy rep exist or not. Some websites say 39.7, some day 42mm. Hope someone can clarify, thanks.

Dimitriii: you can never be sure - not even with originals. The hommage of ref.2998-62 from Omega has a listed diameter of 39.7 mm. You'll find listings of vintage ones with both 39.5 mm and 42mm - the latter just does not feel right in the time period, but I'm no expert so I might be wrong.
The rep that I have looks and feels more 38.*-ish when compared to a 38mm Seiko and a 40mm Sub. It all comes down whether you measure it with or without the bezel which overlaps the case with at least one millimeter. It was sold as a 40mm one btw. :)

There's the quartz version with good register position but it's quartz and there's the hand wind version with wrong register position but it is manual wind as the original. Theses are the best versions available, you must choose one, and look for it in the trusted dealers webpages.

There will never be an exact rep as the lemania 1873, the original movement, can't be replicated as they don't have the machinery to do so.

that's it.

No, I don't have any. If you want an automatic and not the manual wind, then you should look for the 7750 version, it's not the moon watch but it's still a speedmaster:

HI everyone:

I'm new in this forum, in fact, I logged in because I would like to buy a good rep speedmaster moonnight.

Could you recomend me a good TD for buying this watch from and not too much expensive? It will be my first rep watch, and I would like no to make a big mistake buying a piece that is false note, with many visible imperfections

Thank you very much for your help.

I'm telling you guys, get the 35th anniversary Apollo Soyuz edition speedmaster pro rep. It matches 1:1 down to even the meteorite dial. I've gotten some amazing compliments from speedmaster owners, since most have never seen one before.

M2M. I'm sure if you ask any dealer, they'd be able to source one for you.

Great, thanks!

Since you seem to be extremely happy and confident with yours - that it is an EXCELLENT replica of the highest quality and accuracy - I would prefer to get the same one that you've already been able to source.

+1
I saved the money of the replica to buy a gen.
No Speedmaster MOTM replica is near to gen, they are all far wrong.
IMO, probably one of the few gens that is really worth to be bought as replicas are so far off, price is not outrageous and it is a classic so easy to wear and resell.
