So all, I am really hooked on the vintage daytonas now and want to try my hand at this. Having read through this post I am going to try to build my own 6265.

Is there a post on how the subdial @6 mod is done? I tried a search and couldn't find anything.

I just got a book of a sothebys auction in which few daytonas (among many others) went on... Dials also.. I see if I can get some nice shots. It's like flipping through erotic cartoons my father was hiding in his drawer 30 years ago..

I'd also like some guidance on this.

You can find them at any TD. Just email them and say I want a 6263 black dial or whatever dial you want. Although it doesn't matter which dial you get you'll swap it out anyways, the cartel dials are a joke. Great movement and good case though

Great! Already emailed a few TDs. I've never done any mods to any of my reps yet, so the thought of changing a dial makes me a bit nervous. Are the dials hard to source? What price range am I looking at? And where do I find them? Ebay?

Does anyone have an opinion on the 6263 that TS has for sale. It has the Lemania movement and reportedly has all working subdials including the hour dial.

That one I believe is a 39mm so don't do it. It's not a gen size. Gen is 37mm
