That is due to the additional R&D costs associated with the prolonged air and sweat patina testing. They have to get it just right to be truly 1:1 to gen.

Remember I paid them sometime back via Paypal and the paypal email was used by some Turkish strap maker. I may be wrong. But KW watches are still made in china right?

and get this..... it's movement plates are made out of Ti... so its extremely light!

It might interesting to note that KW ain't a maker, not anymore.... Only up to that 1:1 312 and on... Those were made and have been made upto this new 382 by another well known maker who sells them through KW or rather under the KW banner....

its a politics thing with the big makers and one of them needed a go-between so to speak for thier PAMs....

So all you see under the KW brand is from another maker...

It was a similar situation with the AP FC, which was originally released as a KW but was made by another well known maker though not the same as the PAMs....

KW made those early 386s, 441s and 375s but the first release of 'KW' 1:1 312s and all those that followed were made by another maker.... And still are....
