Angus from puretime posted the original of this metal test earlier this month. He said then it had come from the zf factory themselves. It's in the long 382 thread in his section on RG.

It's post #361 for anyone looking.

I followed above mentioned thread in RG and I participated in it a lot and I knew perfectly the analysis chart above showed.
This analysis chart was published by Puretime without more explanations. We cannot trust this chart, I think even Angus doesn't trust it either.

Of course I'm talking about doing analysis of both cases ZFac and KW.
Obviously makers can send me the sample they want but we would need to compare with a real watch before analysis.
Makers should send to me the sample for analysis of a dummy case and a complete watch of regular production for comparison by myself. I will return the samples of watches after the comparison of colour and patina.

Anyway, from the pics both watches seem more yellow than gen. Gen is clearly redish. I have seen only once PAM 382 in Madrid, but I know very well Bronzo PAM 507 watching and wearing it during several hours, I can remember perfectly the redish colour.

ALE7575: I did my best to set things the way I will get KW PAM 382 ASAP. When I get it I will photograph it using photo booth and white point calibration. Will publish it then along with color calibration data so everyone will have an idea about color of it.

Guys, this is a really expensive rep (perhaps the pricing is justified?), but I definitely want to wait to see some comparative reviews on this one before I make a purchasing decision. Ale, I frequently base my pam purchases on your reviews, so you have my deepest respect. Nevertheless, it's really hard to judge whether the bronze color is the right tone based on a few iphone pictures. I also think you need to take your memory of the color and tone of the watch with several hundred grains of salt (I hope that expression translates ok). Although there a very tiny percentage of peole that have the ability to recall a color perfect (Leonardo Devini???), the rest of us a far more general memory of a color that varies based on our mental impression of the color at the time we observed it. If, when you saw the watch in the flesh, you thought--wow, that a nice red glow to this bronze--a year or two later, you will recall the impression of the color--but chance are you will not really remember the color itself. Don't let your impression of the color throw you off. Just a thought.....

Of course, I agree
Indeed I don't want to consider above mentioned thoughts and opinions as a review. You know I like being precise and rigorous in a review
When I talk about a colour is redish I mean in comparison with other known colours. In this case I was comparing colour of PAM 507 with red gold colour of PAM 511 at the same time and side by side. Gold of PAM 511 is extremely red but PAM 507 (bearing in mind it is brushed) was clearly closer to this gold colour than a yellow gold. And this is very easy to be memorized.

Will you calibrate everyone's monitors too? I think its a great effort but still wont be definitive.

No need to calibrate monitors. Another member knowing those datas may shoot pics of zf version with the same settings, in order to have comparable pics.
You will notice any difference on your monitor whatever your screen settings are.

But as they are both 1:1 with an original 382 wont they be the same colour?

Only thing that bothers me about the z factory watch is the wrongly shaped CG.

I will shoot the watch on background of vertical color cards: white, grey and black. So everyone can set white balance in Photoshop ;)

that's it so it is advisable for buyers to just wait a little bit for reviews, comparisons etc between two versions. It is not 6 months wait, it is just few days. Just like an EMS Christmas delay ;)

Can't wait to see pics for comparison.

Do you know price sora? I have heard on good authority it is likely to be more expensive than zf version

But Z fac is. ;)

Yeah, I know. We were talking aout KW's PAM382 release though, and someone mentioned it will be on 4.4.14, that's why I commented on KW not being Chinese. Also, right after that would be the Qing Ming holiday (4/5-4/7). It would be difficult to gain (or rather recover, since ZFac already released their watch) the sales momentum.
