The gen has the wheel @7 and the rep has the wheel @11
This is the layout of P.9000 and A7750 you cannot change that.

Both movement have layout inverted and you need change the inscriptions to seems something similar, but it will never be the same it is impossible due to the layout different.
KW has changed the position of inscriptions to get a more similar movement.

There are some discussions in other fora regarding the position of the inscriptions in other versions because it is a matter of taste.

ALE

Hey ALE,
did you get your 312 last week like you were expecting? How is it? Can we get a preview of your first impressions?

I completely agree that without creating a complete movement, there's no way to replicate the 9000 movement. This IS the best they can do...and it is DAMN close.

Other than changing the engraving, I'm not sure what more could be done. (although I'm sure a modder somewhere will find a way.

ALE, the position was assuming the case back as the reference. If you use the dial then your reference would be correct. :)

So the inscription change will be implemented in future watches or was it caught and changed in the first batch (though highly unlikely)?

Maybe this has already been stated on here and I missed it there are just too many posts, anyway here is my observation.

Is this a decorated plate over a 7750 does anyone know?

Something doesn't add up on the escapement wheel, it doesn't look centered, it just doesn't look right. Also the shock system is sitting way low. Seems to be a faux plate like the one on the 375N just better engineered with faux non working escapement wheel and jewels on it and a good finish.

Visually spectacular from a far, but I think may fall way short when examined up close. Hope I am wrong, but this is my observations after seeing several movement pictures, then again I am a movement freak and way too anal.....

the movement, despite it's inverted flaw, looks stunning nonetheless.. Question is... How likely are they to ever switch things around? If they do, it'll suck for those that have the gen, cos the rep looks nicer imo.. but, then again it can be the pictures.

It is a decorative plate on top of an A7750, theoretically making the movement thickness the same as that of the P9000, aside from making the whole thing look more accurate.

Yes mysterio, sorry to not clarify it
I realized that at the same moment I wrotte the post.
If you take the caseback as reference wheel is @5
But I think is more correct taking the dial as reference. Isn't it?

I will see the effect when I have the watch.
I think KW has take a solution as valid as other it is a matter of taste.

Thanks marlin for your interesting comments!!
They are very appreciated

Of course it is a decorated A7750 with a faux plate with jewels and nice finish way better than 375 decoration. Concerning escapement wheel and anti-shock system I will see when I have the sample, but surely you are right.
We will see
Please keep the comments in this thread
Thanks again

Where the bluegrass sways!
Mine was inbound into customs today in the early am. Chicago customs are generally really fast most clear within 18 hrs. So if all goes well I may have mine Saturday latest Monday. Fingers crossed for Saturday!!

So we all know about the decorated plate and the inverted position of some parts.

What I'm interested in hearing about is how good the AR, lume, fit and general finish is compared to the current 312 7750 on the market.

A few days will tell, but if the KW417 is anything to go from the 312 will be a level above anything else out there in regards to those aspects.

I got mine today. I switched it on an asso strap. I must say I love it and it truly feels good.

I have a slight issue with the band changing, I suggest you check yours on this but it's nothing a needle can't fix.

The bands supplied with it are VERY nice. It also comes with a quick change tool.

Now for the actual pics.

After a full day of wearing it, I just can't imagine taking it off. Its comfy, feels right at home on the wrist, band is soft and quality, barely no rotor noise even though it spins like crazy sometimes. Its a true 28,8k beat.

The fit a d finish is spotless. I recommend.

Ok, I got my watch today! I actually didn't expect it today so I didn't bring my camera. I figured most people just want a first impression review so I used my cell phone camera.
The first thing I did was put my TedSu baby hornback croc on it. The rep strap that it came with feels like a rep strap so it went in the drawer. First impressions. After wearing my 187G, it felt a little light but the good news is that after wearing it for an hour it felt solid.
The AR is as good as everyone says but I like the AR on my 187G better. The case and finish is excellent. The CG and lever are solid and smooth. The winding and date change is smooth as well. The only part that feels a little cheap is when setting the time, the hands almost feel a little disconnected from the crown. It's hard to describe. Also the CP is recessed and not flush to the minute hand. The rotor is smooth and spins like crazy but is not loud. The movement finish is excellent. Any way here are some quick pics with my cell phone!

Overall I'm glad I got this watch but it's definitely not kicking my 187G our as my favorite. Hopefully the CP can be fixed easily.
