I may be a bit harsh and I am sorry if I am. I honestly feel for you as not only are you out the $800, but a little lady somewhere isn't going to get that special gift in a week or so.

I can't possibly know how you feel as I'm not in your (nor Joshua's) shoes.

:(

If I was a rep dealer, ANY rep dealer - I would not sell you another damn thing.

And that is the other part of screwed up big time... you bet your bippies what Josh isn't saying out here is being said loud and clear in the dealer forum...

And bear in mind there is the other thing he has to watch out for... which is the possibility that you are just making a hassle because you don't like the size and have changed your mind after the fact... I am not saying you did that, but your post does toe that line... these guys gotta watch out for that kind of thing because every time a watch crosses borders there is a chance it dissapears or gets taxed. On the way to you if it dissapears the dealer has to eat a reship (and more risk) and on the way back he risks both (unless you are going to tell me you would have just eaten the cost if it dissapeared on the way back).

This is one reason that I make allowances for "just replace a bracelet" sort of solutions. In reality I think they should send you a whole new watch for a defective one. But you have to be realistic in terms of the risk it takes on...

Again big picture and both sides of it.

And I am not trying to make enemies either... but I say what I feel.

there's also that risk of returning said watch and having it seized by customs on the other end. didnt happen in this case... but in future issues, potentially can...

Uhm guys you are missing the point. I did want to exchange the watch because I did not like the bigger size BUT I asked Josh if this was okay.... I would not have done it if the watch I had did not have a flaw in it. I merely did it out of courtesy for him that isntead of asking for a refund that I would just by the smaller watch from him...

Also at the time I really didn't think that a PP dispute was such concern and as soon as Josh told me about it I closed it right away...

In addition if dealers do not want to sell to me because of this, it is their loss. I have bought a bunch of things already without problems from all dealers which I am sure wouldn't mind doing business with me again. I send money quickly and without a hassle. Hell I even sent him a Western Union payment after he said that he couldnt recieve paypal...

Everything else asside this is the big sticking point... a PP dispute undose a lot of good will and history...

The fact that you didn't realize is exactly a sign of the wet behind the ears I was talking about... it was day 2 on the forums before I knew the two cardinal rules: Don't ask who has the best sub and don't ever do a pp dispute.

There is a saying out there, ignorance is not a valid defense.

You feel you were being a good guy, and I would have too... until I checked deeper into the rep world... you learn things that are somewhat counterintuitive, like what makes a "great" transaction is as often receiving a defective product but then getting the part to fix it than actually receiving a perfect product right off.

I am just saying that while I agree with your logic in the normal business world, this world takes a bit of a special view and I think you could have handled it differently that would have resulted differently. For instance the power of a bad post in the forums is MUCH more likely to get you the desired result from a dealer and better for everyone, and occasionally multi week delays in getting things straightened out are part of the game... often not but something to build into your plan.

We are missing the point? It is bigger than the $800. Again, I feel for you, but I also feel for Joshua and his potential THOUSANDS (if not TENS OF THOUSANDS) as well as for each and every member of the rep community that now has to find alternative methods to pay some of our dealers. Do you realize if he lost $15k or more by the PP dispute, he now has to recoup that cost. Guess where it comes from? $10-20 on my next PAM, $15 on that next Sub for the new guy that is going to sign up tomorrow, $30 from the long standing member/lurker that purchases but doesn't post on his Inge, $15 off some else's Big Bang. We ALL pay for this.

AND no offense, but it is THEIR LOSS? Let me see, they can lose your (I'm guessing here) $50-100 profit per transaction (again I have no idea) or they can (if they are a PP user) risk TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars by another PP dispute should things not run PERFECTLY smoothly? It's all about risk-reward and alternative cost. I'm not sure I'd take the chance if I were them.....

Sorry, but I'm not sure you get the point.

Again, I mean no ill will, but EVERYONE needs to step back and look at the big picture.

I'm not one to stir the pot, so I'm done here - but there are MANY variables in this equation and it doesn't add up no matter how you look at it.

As always, I wish you the best and I wish I could waive my magic wand and make it right.

Wet behind the ears? You know. knowing what I now know I would have done the same thing and would have filed a dispute. I paid for an $800 watch that came in defective. I want a refund of my money even I pay for shipping both ways... Dealer does not budge. I asked 3 time, still no refund sorry...

I believe I had no choice. Maybe now I would probably have given him a warning... But still that is not good practice even in the rep world especially if he has all this money to loose, he would have treated his customers differently.

Like I said I bought a watch from B2k. Watch had a scratch on it, replacement was sent immediately without even confirmation from me that I had sent the watch back nor pictures! Why would I even consider a PP dispute in this case? This dealer cares about the service he provides and his customers....

Furthermore, Joshes stunt where he told me the watch was shipped 2 days ago only to find out that its actually not the right watch shows that he is full of it, no?

That sucks Josh... its more or less what I thought when you suddenly stopped taking paypal right in the middle of this thread where the pp dispute came up...

I am sorry maxse... if that's really what you wrote you did screw up big time... not only is the rule never to pp dispute, but never mention reps anywhere in pp... ever...

I stand behind the wet behind the ears statement...

Didn't doubt your quote Josh... but when it's not something I actually see with my eyes it's only fair to say "if". I "believe" and I "know" are two seperate things... I always want to be fair when if possible :)

Guys, thank you for all the compliments on my intelligence, very smart...

Like I said how am I supposed to know paypal witholds funds for no reason. I have never really dealt with problems like this before...

And if it really is that important to you (and it seems like it is) Why couldnt you talk to me about giving me store credit or anything like that when I asked you for a refund 3 times, before I filed a PP complaint?...

I even did like you said to cancel it, and then still trusted you and sent you even more $$ via Western Union no questions asked...

I think this thread should be closed now or something, there is no reason for it to keep going we all know what the problem is, and hopefully Josh and I will be able to get our money back. The point is that it would not have led to this if Josh provided even remotely good service by issuing me a refund when I asked to be refunded due to the defective $800 watch...

Anyway, I hope this will somehow be settled soon. I will call PP tomorrow and see if this can be resolved.

Hi,

I offer you a replacement bracelet.right from the very begining... you say ok.. then not ok. cos you dunno how to install.. then ok agian... then not ok again cos you think you will scratch the bracelet and make matters worst... I literally went to buy a bracelet for you and have to return it cos ... you cannot confirm if its is Ok.

I offer to pay for you to send the watch back . I attend to it. shoot pics for you to approve before i send it back to you ... You disagree becos you are afraid that the watch does not make it on time back...

2 days has passed and Daddy found out that you have spent USd 780 on a knockoff and insisted on a refund.. From then on... you are bent on refund. Why I cannot refund you ?????? I will repeat it here.... THIS IS A CUSTOM WATCH..... Not a Planet Ocean... Who will want to buy a girlish diamond bezel men watch from me ? Finally I could not take your email bombardment and childish behaviour any more... I offer you to paya restocking fee.. 10% + the freight i spent to send up the package.. .. Bear in mind.... I will be at a loosing end cos I have to stock a girlish looking men chanel J12 which no one wants !!!!! Yet You refuse to compromise ....... and you went ahead to file paypal compliant..

You are being very unacommodating from the very freaking beginning....... Becos I cannot access the forum.. Else I would not want to waste time with you .. i resent the most when someone trying to defame my name at the forum while I try so hard to please and accomodate demands on mail mode. You received the watch on the 9th and file complaint to paypal on the 12th ! between this time. at least 60 emails was exhanged.. 60 emails.

Go get a life..! Go back to church.. read the bible and learn the essence of life.. you are seriously lacking in this aspect..
