maxse......

regardless of what happens with REP dealer...i repeat....."REP" dealer
regardless of how much money you spent....

you just DO NOT file a paypal dispute.....
the moment you did that......you basically screwed yourself up.....
not just yourself now....since you made pp freeze all of josh's account....
now no one can buy from josh using paypal.....

ok....so you didn't know that filing a pp dispute will cause this much flame
then apologize....to josh and to all the people who got affected by your act
stop making excuses.....

of course....now you must be thinking....

"why the f**k should i apologize when i'm the one who lost money!"

right? .......if you are........you really are not getting the point at all....

and what?..... did you just say you're gonna CALL paypal about this?

oh dear lord.......

i really hope you get THE POINT of what everbody's been trying to tell you

seriously.....

Oh yeah....

I empthasize with joshua on the fact that this fellow toasted his main account and in the end, PAYPAL tracked the IP and closed down all his PAYPAL accounts. That was a horrifying experience...trust me on that. I got a call from Joshua early in the morning even before I could pull my pants up out from bed.

In this trade, we (dealers) take risks and we all know some how or another, we will have risks involved in every aspect esp. the payment problems. A day later, I got both my PAYPAL accounts toasted too... I find it funny too and indeed... just another amateuer went and cut and paste my web address in the Payment Description in PAYPAL. How stupid can one get?

To maxse,

Please grow up... there are always means of communication with the dealer. a PP dispute will put all of us in danger and now, I can for sure tell you all the cries in the world will not get your USD800 back for you or Joshua. PAYPAL has them all... and the mistake was not Joshua's. Your Dispute caused it all. Your calls to PAYPAL will not help you to get back the money, neither will it reversed the irreversible damage done to Joshua's account. RIP

maxse I am sorry... there is no excuse for not knowing about how bad paypal disputes are and how delicate the paypal issue is... it's not hard to learn and it's basic part of the knowledge that is the forum... it's right up there with who has the best sub...

PP disputes are a pain even for sellers of legit items let alone the riskier ones... this is along the lines of suing your drug dealer because he didn't give you your money back on your weed and saying "I didn't know it was gonna be so bad, his fault for selling drugs anyway!"... true but it doesn't sound good when you are talking to a bunch of his customers...

You say you ordered from B2k? http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10164

Notice he stresses not to use the word replica? It's not just cuz he doesn't like how it looks...

And the most important part... paypal is a delicate part of the game that benefits all a LOT... dealers want it because it makes it easy to pay, this increases business and (hopefully) drives down prices by way of volume for everyone. Buyers like it because it's easy to use, easy to fund, and we all pretty much have one.

Take a look at the recent "Paypal not accepted" threads and you will see it makes a big impact. So essentially you screwed everyone involved in every way, and in this case ignorance is ABSOLUTELY not an excuse. It's a well broadcast cardinal rule.

Looking at some of your other posts I am now not surprised... you kind of rush into things without thinking and just ask to have your hand heald step by step, unless you decide you don't like what you hear and ignore it and go on your own way...

And now I see some points I had forgotten and indeed I can't say you got the short end of the stick:

Refunds are not at all the norm in this business. Make sure what you want is what you order. Dealers should make broken or defective parts right, but if you order the 38mm diamond mens watch it is totally on the dealers good will to ever even consider a refund.

It was a custom order... I forgot it was the mens size you got diamond encrusted. This is indeed a special order and I agree Josh would have a very hard time selling it. He would have to offer it at a discount or sit on it for a long time hoping to make the sale.

If he offered on the 12th to pay to have the watch sent back you had 18 days to turn around... that is not an unreasonable amount of time to expect it fulfilled.

Joshua is right to say you need to learn a lesson... it's a lesson these forums are supposed to help teach BEFORE it gets to this point. Now you see the big picture. This is the game we play... there are odd rules and you need to learn them to play or else you risk screwing up the game for everyone. This is not Macy's or Walmart... this is a business in which both sides take risks just to be involved. Now I hope you understand... but somehow I think you won't.

I don't think he'll get the point either and its unfortunate. He is out a considerable amount of money but this could have been handled alot differently.

I have to say I have been following this thing from the beginning and I am at a loss for words. I am relatively new to this but you learn pretty quich what to do and say and what not to dealing with these items. I agree with all that you should have taken a step back and figured it out with josh before opening your big mouth to PP. Now look what you have done I hope you are happy with yourself . If it was me I would not be able to look at myself in the mirror. This is not kid stuff if you can't handle all that comes along with it then don't deal in reps. I won't let this stop me buying from Joshua and I already have paid with WU and received a package during all of this crap. I think we should not make Joshua suffer just because one kid can't do things the grown up way.

Another part of the equation for a dealer...

When paypal freezes an account, they freeze the entire account - not just the disputed transaction amount, but ALL monies
the dealer has in the account.. Every penny, all pennies, dollars, pounds, rupees, cruzieros, yuan, whatever...
no matter how much money is in the account, they freeze it all.. it cannot be withdrawn, used, spent, etc.. and the lenghth of time?
LOL... six months is not unusual, and it can easily be longer... why do you think there is this site? http://www.paypalsucks.com

There are frozen accounts that never ever thaw...

RIP

Of course, once an account if frozen, do you for a New York minute think that PayPoop will gladly, or readily, allow you to open another account? Heck no, not even, so sorry, so sad, too bad... they have a legal scam, and they are very happy, joyous, in what they do...

Guys I ALREADY APOLOGIZED TO JOSHUA!! And I apologize for you for causing such problems with Paypal... Comon I even did more business with him by sending him money via Western Union... Doesn't that show good faith. And Josh please stop calling me a kid because I am by no means a kid.. Thanks.

BUT I THINk you guys are sort of blaming the wrong person. I think that the reasons they had to change their web sites and all of the accounts being closed is by someone else who posted the link to their web site in the paypal message! I probably did not help the situation but I believe that is the real reason for the shut down...

I just called paypal myself and they told me that they can not reveal anything about other peoples accounts but told me that even if fund were frozen the Seller always has the option to refund the buyer his money if they call... Again I don't think that I am the one that caused this. Actually I am pretty certain now because Josh told me that he could not Refund me the price difference because he is having paypal problems NOT RELATED TO ME! I eeven have that in the email! So I do not think that I am the main cause of this, and Josh still proceeded to do business with me (had to WU him the money, no problem...) even after I Told him that I filed a PP claim but then closed it when he told me to do so...

*EDIT* And when I purchased from B2k Ihad to pre-order the watch and we just talked via pms and I just followed the instructions he outlined to send him money.. (With every purchase he sends you a special "form" with a code so I just followed the instructions he gave me). But thanks for the info Dev.

Is not a matter of blame, maxse..

bad things happen to good people from time to time.. just how it is..

sad but true..

and when the crowd is thrown a bone?

Well, heck, they will chew on it, won't they.. long after any meat is gone..

If this thread ever gets to twenty pages, why then maybe all of the meat will be

bone to the bone, and then the marrow suckers can take over...

All the best to you,

Klink

josh wont call them. it's a simple matter of having illegal goods and calling pp wouldn't be the wisest thing a dealer does.

The reason Paypal freeze funds in the account is to cover any chargebacks that may occur....CC companies have a 6 month limit on chargebacks....so Paypal hold on for six months.....but anyone who has made a payment can ask for a refund from PP and cancel the transaction....Paypal will debit the account for the appropriate amount...and the balance will sit for the remainder of the 6 months....if everybody files a chargeback or asks for a refund they will usually get it.....until such times as the account is depleted...or 6 months has elapsed and the balance is transferred to the account holder and the account is officially closed....doesn't help the delaer tho' if he's sent out the watches.....but it should only be those who haven't received their watches that ask for a refund...!

ttk I called paypal and they said they can not refund any money because their claim doesn't cover "good not as described" if you purchase outside of ebay.
And guys did you hear what I SAID? I said I do not think that I am the one that caused all of this (even after klink said this isnt a blaming contest)... Someone reported them and posted links to their website in the paypal!!!! Josh even told me that he was having problems and it was not because of me in one of the emails he sent me!

There really is no reason for any smartass remarks here. I already apologized, but like I said I do not think this was caused by me, but that is not relevant in this thread. Josh had these problems and continued to do business with me and I continued to WU him money... I do not think that this thread needs any more discussion.

The fact that Josh did continue in his attempt to please you, says a great deal more about him than about you.

I will leave this thread now as I see no reason nor are in a mood for a flame war. I just hope that you will take this as lesson not just in this forum but in life in general.

I have also said a couple of stupid things in this forum and you know what I do when that happens http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtop ... 535#104535
