Well it seems to be fairly close....very tempting.

I still think the price is too high though. But can I wait for who knows how long for Noob?!

Wait wait wait. Noob is planning on cloning a Rx movement? Really? Is this just a rumor? Are we talking Yuki quality or just some crappy decorated plates that nobody is gonna see anyways??

If they do indeed clone the 4130 movement that would be a bit of a game changer. 116520 dials are relatively cheap. Talk about a fantastic Franken....

yes a rumor has been floating about of noob to clone the Rolex 4130 movement, but how reliable will that be?
factor in a service as the movement will be dirty for sure, and will it actually take gen Rolex parts like a yuki 3135? or will it be a non serviceable movement like the SA3135 clone? questions that need to be answered before we think its a step in the right direction!

I personally don't think the project will come to fruition

guys if this case is gen like construction and the crown height is in the price position, would it take gen 4130 movement?

I personally have sidelined this watch due to poor SEL. They seem to have gaps in them. Me no like loose stuff :)

I agree that $ 298 + plus shipping for a 23J frozen is a little too much , overpriced..

I hope they do an AP royal oak chrono and a messi chrono. Honestly. Nobody uses the chrono, to me this frozen idea is great.

Also I wonder if a ceramic bezel will fit on one of these??

That's not true, many people run the chrono, an anecdote describing your behavior is not directly transferable to an entire population.

i currently have the nembo daytona. it falls short in many areas, imho. while around 320USD with shipping included for this JF model, i think its quite worth it to get this&i am fully intending to do so once the christmas/new year shipping craze has died down. here's why:-

base nembo daytona - around 100USD-130USD (depending on whether you get it from m2m or from the man himself.)
sapphire crystal + gasket - around 60USD to 100USD (depending on where you get it from. clarks, a old SD, a crystal maker, etc.)
relume - around 100USD-150USD (depending on who, what type of lume)

total for the above, even at the lower end, is about 250USD excluding any additional labour & shipping cost which may be incurred. but even with the above mentioned mods, it still leaves you with a wonky bracelet, weird dial, fat chrono pusher guards, etc.

IF, which is quite a big IF, JF has finished these 21J/23J daytonas the same way they did with the 7750s. i feel its worth the additional 200USD, compared to the nembo.

just my 2cents.

Interesting take. The Nembo indeed arent very accurate reps.

I wonder why they didn't slap on the same dial on the 23J JF as on the 7750 ? The coronet looks bad;

+1

The nembo does NOT accept a Gen crystal or ANY AFTERMARKET Crystal that is designed to replace a gen crystal ! I have modded several , THE ONLY crystal that will fit is a older BP Sub 16610 type that is press in type with a totally different gasket design ,AND then you have to remove the date cyclops ! the gen crystal gasket design wont work either .. and to find a old BP Sub 16610 crystal by it self is next to impossible , I just had 2 in my pile of rep watch parts left over from builds so trying to mod a Nembo is a small money pit and not worth it in the end , as they say "You can put a silk hat on a pig,but its still a pig"
