It's not JF, or perhaps a very early model. But I doubt it.

Watch the bezel screws, logo, second hand, hour markers, minute markers (which are actually better than JF's), undecorated miyota movement. Who sold you this as JF?

Besides the movement, you're saying the rest looks better than on a JF? I have a hard time to spot the difference.

Logo is V1 but its not really JF. Maybe a prototype or something or a really early V1.

Ok i actually looked at it at my smartphone now in big at my PC its definitely not a JF Dial the squares are completely different.

Ouch.. I guess I'll bring it back today. Luckily I can just exchange / trade it locally. Let's see if my dealer gets the hang of JF and NOOB. The other AP 44MM was a JF according to the RWI members.

By the way this new updated black dial (v2 maybe) looks amazingly close to the gen

You are both right and wrong
JF made a silent update to blue dial, we called it v2, dial squares were more defined (less pimple like) and similar to white version

But they left the black as v1, pimple like until recently

Now, all three colors are more defined and square

So, it is not something new, but black dial is catching up

In this respect, black dial (due to the color) is the closest one to the gen (imo)

Yes but the black version was updated in August so its nothing "new". Actually blue does really look like gen a few sites before someone posted a picture with rep vs. gen and it looks almost identical.
