Anyone know if the tap is noticeably smaller on the jf in person? Hard to really tell since all these shots are I'm seeing of the dial are blown up.

Better tap is TF dial..
Unless u hv both side by side else it is is impossible to spot the difference except trained eyes like us... Lol

The Dials are completely different. The tap is clearly smaller when side by side with the TF but it has other differences, JF is more silver with more sunburst while TF is more off-white.
The datewheels also have different colours with the TF again being more off-white and the JF being white.
I posted this on another thread but didn't get an answer, maybe I will have more luck here:
"I have both the TF and JF with white dial and I agree that the JF is superior in many ways but I prefer the TF dial.
Does anyone know if the TF dial would fit a JF 15400? Since they both use Miyotas it should be doable.
Also I noticed the date cutout are shaped differently so I probably would have to use the TF date wheel too."

What dial/hands combo do you prefer? I mean which one looks more visually appealing in person?
I really don't care too much about likeliness to gen but I personally like the sunburst/bling effect on the JF but prefer the larger tap on the TF.

Here´s my thoughts: You need to read a little on your own, rather than asking questions that are easily answered with a single search. This thread is about the "new" batch of 15400, have you added any value to this topic?

Newest v2 blue dial compared with my gen hulk. Really comparable in terms of finish, quality and comfort. Pretty incredible with the $8k price difference.

He he, same here. For a guy like you with a gen 15400 even to consider the blue dial V2 JF 15400, it must be something special. I personally thought I was over all rep 15400s (considering all the well-known flaws) , but then this blue dial pulled me back into "la famiglia."
