The only thing to check is date switching. Some of JF 15400 start slowly turning date wheel at 11 which looks ridiculus and it's also an instant tell.

^ What do you mean? Thats how alot of movements work. Date starts to flip around 10 or so. Nothing you can do about it

Who's looking intently enough at your watch at 11pm that's going to suddenly scream "fake"!! And how do you know the gen isn't exactly the same? The mechanism for changing date is driven by the hour wheel so is in exactly the same cycle as the rest of the going train. The design differences with some date change mechanisms can be large. A 2836 flicks over very quickly at 12 so there's no slow creep of half a date's number due to its sprung pawl, whereas the 2824 (identical except for date change mechanism and height dimensions) has a different rotating pawl that engages with the DW teeth from 11ish onwards. Miyota very similar to a 2824. What is different is the Miyota date goes anticlockwise whereas ETA go clockwise. It could be that that's exaggerating the change in the Miyota.

Great, no more pimple dial! However the tap is still too small, TF has the best shape.

Not still worried about your acne are you? No one gives a toss for TF anymore!

Gen 15400 changes quickly at 12.

Visions of rep owners all huddled around at 11 o'clock watching with baited breath for the date change only to be gutted!! Get over it for gods sake!!

Does anyone know if the V2 is only for the blue version? Did JF update their black version?

Looks like I'm only wearing the 15400 when I'm having an early night then. Or even I could wear it when I'm out for 'a few beers' to prevent it turning into a 3 day bender - that's 2 possibly 3 opportunities to be caught out [emoji15]

After a 2 month hiatus, I log on to this thread, and, soon enough, I am ordering the JF V2 (!) blue dial 15400 from Ryan. LOL.
