i could live without the ar crystals and dw changes.
would only anodise the dial and swap the tachy to get 80% of the noticeable difference done, together with the subdials if it bothers me that much. would wait for the video to see the dial in real time instead of pictures.
anything else is not worth the extra $ to gen ratio, to each his own.
dont have to care about fc parts and bezel screws anymore, which was 100% of the reason the old noob was an instant tell.

Is that center red part made out of metal? How are people anodizing it without losing the white printing?
For me it is exactly the same. How can you not lose or put back on the 'AP Audemars Piguet' writing on the red dial without make it look unprofessional. The only one who can properly answer this is the people who have modded the old noob I believe
I think the easiest is someone either doing the mods for us and selling finished watches or somebody selling these parts.
I have asked zorro if he sells the dials and he does not do that. Maybe somebody can buy a watch, and professionally make anodized dials with correct white AP name printing... that would be nice. Somebody modding these JF FC GP watches would be actually much better.

Well, disappointed with the JF FC GP I am wondering how the h*ll I can get myself on a excellent rep of my ultimate holy grail watch? Zorro has no more GPs for sale so wondering if somebody can pick up the stuff Zorro started of modding & selling the GP

Everyone thought this was going to be $900+ so that's good news. On another note, yeah there are flaws but you can wear this out of the box no problem. anodize the dial and replace the tachy and now your up there almost at Zorro status. And you saved $2000

That was the platinum that got me into reps, but not as crazy about the fg version anyways. I think I will get the Rose gold one though now lol

I had the Noob years ago (RG), with real FC, and it was beautiful! The strap was great too
The FC GP is a joke, and the result is worse off compared with the Noob V2.
Everything about the dial and tachy is wrong: main dial color, date window position, sub dial color, tachy color, date font, etc.
The case, bezel screws, pushers are decently finished though. Straps look ok.

Yeah I don't get buying a rep for the sake of it, especially if its bad. Forget whether others know what the watch is or not, the fact of the matter is that if it is a really poor example (let's face it, besides the case and the strap, the FC is really bad) then it isn't worth it. May as well buy a cheapie quartz .
Bee, Schumi, LBJ, Platinum GP are at least up to a decent standard.
I agree. The wearer is the only person that has to like and accept the watch, regardless of what others say.
I personally find this iteration unacceptable, for reasons previously stated, but like you, I find the LBJ, BB and other models rather well-made and accurate. Well, to each his own. I am sure there will be buyers who go WOW and snap this up.. lol

What a great sounding voice I have tired that.. But nicked plated the part first then applied the same paint in the spray can version.. Looks great but still not close to gen effect and colour.. But a nice option
