@xing_david - are you selling YG-plated tungsten bracelets on their own, without cases? And if so - are you doing any with hollow female endlinks?

I was thinking a tungsten oyster bracelet would be a great add to a variety of gold vintage and modern models - and a bracelet ready for hollow endlinks would allow us to use 18, 19, 20, 21mm endlinks to complete our builds!
Our new tungsten cases with full oyster band bracelets are almost ready to ship from the factory. I'll update this thread as soon as I have them in hand.

I mean the idea of mixing tungsten with SS. The idea is using the SS for the parts that need to be engraved so you end up with an excellent quality engraving but the weight of tungsten.

Here are a couple pics.
Very interesting… can you elaborate on what the three numbers refer to in the image of the case?

So the first image of a link means it’ll be tungsten inside and stainless steel outside?

Any update on these hybrid tungsten cases @xing_david? This looks like fairly complicated machining — more steps involved to create the complex void geometries, and two parts (SS shell and tungsten weight slug) that need to come together with very fine tolerances.

I also wonder about thermal expansion of these two materials. Steel expands by 13e-6 per degree C, tungsten expands by 4.3e-6 per degree C. For a 1cm sized part (eg a bracelet link) over a 40C temperature range (e.g. a cold day skiing at -10C to a hot day by the pool +30C) the steel would expand by about 5 microns (that’s 2 “tenths” for freedom unit machinists). Which is actually pretty tiny and the Tungsten would expand by around 1/3 of the steel, so a few microns (or less than a “tenth”). Ok… so thermal expansion isn’t going to be an issue.

Also waiting patiently for a 116519 tungsten version. I really was hoping that Gold Factory would be back into production by now. If anyone has an update that would be great

I received an update that they were very close a couple days ago. Sorry for the wait.

Are you selling case only or full build?
