It's not just flaking, it's also fading and getting dull. This watch never touched a drop of water

What kind of paint did you use for the paint mod? Did you scrape off all the old paint first as some people do? It looks much better!

OK, I finally got the CF bezel on. It feels and looks great! Better than ARF. The bezel fits tighter. The ARF bezel is quite wobbly. The teeth are sharper and grippier than the ARF teeth. The insert looks good to me. I don't have a gen to compare to at the moment. The pip glows just like the ARF markers. Time will tell whether the insert will flake too.

How the CF insert goes after 2 years bro?

Guys i have the same issue of you all, but i think this have another cause.
The bezel numbers are not fading or loosing color with time, but is the paint that the repmakers use that are super oleofobic.
Every touch of finger turns the numbers a little bit dark, something that the real R paint doesn’t do.
BUT there is a solution: this paint is SUPER EASY TO CLEAN, and to do this you only need dishsoap and a thootbrush.
Try yourself and tell me the result, you need like 2 min. If your watch have “never touch water” this is the problem. It catch all the hands oil and dirt.
I have to do this on mine every week of use to keep the look “white” (watch used all day 10 hour per day)
If you want I’ll do a before and after next time I’ll do it.

But overall my Gen Rolexes that are 4-5 years old fade in color. Something you can’t fight long term
