Timezone has way too much traffic and few controls on their sale section. Mods cant keep up with the insane sales quantity going on there.

Man I cringed reading this. Painful is an understatement. Paypal will take care of this I'm sure BUT....you may need to forward them all the emails about circumventing their rules. I hope you didn't sugest this in any of your mails because they may close it unfavorably if you did.

If you are on the up and up..... I feel strongly PP will rule in your favor. If the watch is in a GENUINE for sale forum, copy the ad NOW. Send a message to him under an assumed name and see if he tries to sell it again. Use that for PayPal as well.

Good luck and please keep the forum informed.

Don't forget to contact the post office. Any fraud that uses the post office becomes postal fraud. Second, it is illegal to ship propane cylinders through the mail.

Yeah I hope it ends well I have printed all of the emails and even though Paypal has not yet asked for them I'm going to fax them in anyway, in the meantime a new tz username and a new email address sounds like the ticket to catching him

So sorry to hear about your mishap. It must just make you sick to your stomach.

This fella is a terrible person.

The lesson here for the rest of us is never never NEVER SEND PayPal as gift and always always ALWAYS PAY via Credit Card.

So many more protections and for high dollar deals consider use of an escrow service that would cost you less than $100 or so or do a face to face deal in a public safe place.

I didn't send gift, but the payment was from funds I had been saving up in my Paypal account

Well that's really good news then . Likely you'll have recourse.

I typically withdraw all funds from PayPal as frequently as possible. They're known for years now to freeze your funds as they see fit.

I like to pay almost everything with credit card.

Just really sorry you're having to go through all this. It really sucks.

Here is exactly what you do to get your money back.

If your paypal funds came from your bank account, all you have to do is contact your bank and tell them the item was never sent to you. The bank will remove the money from his account, and give it back to you. Simple as that. Your bank only cares about you, their customer. They simply deduct the money from his account, and put it in yours.

You obviously don't know how banks work, they have no jurisdiction on another bank's policies, once the amount is approved and received, its in the other bank's hand.. :lol1: no one can just remove money from another bank account without authorization from the account holder.

Forget the return address, you could try it, but I highly doubt thats his real address, and even if it were, which enforcement agencies will act on this? They'll just say its your problem, you deal with it. If you act on it, you'll get in shit at the end.

Like i said earlier you'll have to deal with Paypal, and hopefully they will help you out, and not turn it into an "you say, I say" situation, which in the end you'll be screwed from your money.

Paypal WILL stand behind you for sure as long as there is no form of "proof of delivery". That is one of the big things they look for. Even if there was a form of proof I think you will still be fine but without proof I'm 100% sure. Generally takes 60 days though if the receiver of the funds keeps protesting along the way. Sucks either way.
