Now the bezel's popped off... Looking at the residue, it looks like krazy glue, which doesn't bond metal too well...
Keep the watch. I will send you a refund in a few hours. I've had watches that use movement tabs without a movement holder. I also used a special clear glue specificly for bonding metal. Either way i cant much more of this deal. Keep the watch, sell it, hit it eith a hammer i dont care.,i get out of work in 3 hours which is when i will send a full refund.
That's true you don't..but the even more fairer thing now is for him to get his refund and SEND the watch back to 05TBOWNER..then he could do with the watch as he pleases and not be out money AND a watch on top of the asswhipping he took here
Yes, you're quite right. This thread should never have been started in the first place!
This could all have been handled and worked out behind the scenes. There is no reason for this to have been brought to our attention.
This has only served to give 05 a bad name, grief for the staff and bickering amongst the members.
I hope that lessons have been learned here. DO NOT CALL OUT SOMEONE AS A SCAMMER WITHOUT ABSOLUTE PROOF AND ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY.
That's exactly what I plan to do... The watch is of no use to me the way it was sent.
Refund has been sent to Ed for the Rolex. Keep it, seriously. If you want, put it up for sale as parts, or put it up for free, someone can use it. I just don't want to see it again.

I know nothing about these deals, these buyers, or the post office. What I do know is that I bought a watch from 05tbowner not long ago - it was several hundred dollars, plus I paid him for some extra work on it. It took over a month for him to get the parts and perform the work, and I never once asked him for an update.
The watch arrived in great condition as expected. If he was ever going to try to rip someone off, it would have been on my deal (over $300 vs $80, and a customer not asking questions in over a month).
But he didn't.
In my book, he's a good guy. He's young and may have made some mistakes along the way, but I believe his sincerity and trust him.
I'd buy from him again.
And that's my $0.02 for whatever it's worth - not that anyone asked.

I still love it very very much my friend! The custom Prime strap completes it, and it gets worn about once a month or more - which is more than any other of the "nice" watches I own.

Other watch was successfully received, although similar to the case of rcrscom, there are mixed reactions as to the quality of the item delivered.

And of course, this was what we were hoping for to begin with.
To be honest though, I don't mind nearly so much that the thread was started. Once the OP got an answer, he was reasonable and easy to reassure. The wording in the title was more inflammatory than it should have been, but it was a judgment call, and to my feeling, could be considered an honest mistake.
It's the part where the staff got accused of conspiring to keep everyone in the dark that things really went south. And what really gets me about it is that I already know for a fact that these longstanding members should know better. If you, as a long time member, really thought that the staff was capable of arbitrary commando decisions like that, would you stick around? No self-respecting person should. If you really thought that of this forum, you would have gone looking for a better one by now.

05 admits he makes mistakes and everybody find that great.
Alina, I never said you or any other mod or admin did bad, I just said it could have been done better.
We're all grateful to the job you're doing here... But it doesn't mean you can't to better.
I thought trying to improve was part of the human condition.
That was just my 0.02 cents.
I've understand a while back that any of you didn't care for it, and that fine, as I said before, I know, and always knew RWI is not a democracy... But you'll never be able to stop people who want to speak up to do it, unless you use censorship.
Careful though, by doing that RWI would become just another RG, where people were banned because they don't agree with the staff (more specifically Sylar)

Some people just dun have the good common sense God gave them when it comes to these situations.
I have no use for it, and in all fairness, the watch is still yours. Unless someone in this thread speaks up and wants it, I'm sending it back to you.
I think you missed the part where the OP tried to PM the seller and was unable to... and no where in his post did he call the seller a scammer.
