Can't go wrong with the SW200 V2 [emoji106]

Hi all

I'm having a look on this wonderful piece

Other than Toro Bravo, are there other TDs which offers the V6F v2 with SW200 ?

Just to understand if the 450 - 500 USD price tag is homogeneous thru the normal network of TDs

I found an aftermarket navy blue strap for my aquanaut on the bay. I love the colour match with the dial, but it doesn't have the two metal prongs at the end so it pivots on the springbar and leaves a gap worse than a v7 sub SEL

Any advice? Does anyone know how much a gen rubber strap without buckle costs? Does everyone else's 5167 have the prongs and is it true to gen? Does everyone else have two sets of springbar holes in each lug? I really want to make this happen

I found a temporarily satisfactory work around. I took a thick paper clip, cut it and bent it into a U shape at the ends and tried to mould it to the curve of the mid case. .

Then put it in the holes for the prongs.

Result is acceptable.

Thank you so much GF for this thread.
After reading through all the pages I am convinced that the V6F SW200 V2 is the closest one to the Gen, and I'll be close to buying one soon.

I have couple of questions that I hope you guys can help me with:

V6F SW200 Vs A2824 = the only difference would be the Datewheel, right? font on A2824 is smaller. Apart from that, dial, hands etc are the same, ie. Accurate.

V6F SW200/A2824 Vs BP Miyota = what are the differences apart from the decor movement? Thickness?

Thanks all!!

Have been a regular lurker in this thread. Eventually I couldn't stop myself from purchasing an aquanaut sw200... Have had a good experience with Toro... This is the result
80b17435b7ed3e415d8e58fbac2c74db.jpg

Couldn't be happier with the watch. Apart from great looks, the movement is amazingly accurate: 3s fast per day. Even better than in QC!

Thanks GF and other members for all your input in these threads...

You're most welcome buddy.. you can not go wrong with that version. A bit more expensive, but it's all worth it. It looks magnificent. Enjoy in great health..

That was less than a week ago, I couldn't have been happier with the watch. Then I stumbled upon this thread on RWG and it got me worried:

http://rwg.cc/topic/140880-be-careful-with-the-sw200-based-models/

In the thread problems with the SW200 movement are discussed regarding teeth stripping on the ratchet wheel. Apparently it's a common problem with the movement.

Then I stumbled upon this:
f3ae1e37a5c2eeadb11bb79466f3cdb9.jpg

One teeth broken off, and it's a matter of time before more follow... [emoji32] For now the watch still runs strong, but I can't wait for the little brass teeth to destroy the movement, so before anymore damage will be inflicted on it I'm having the ratchet wheel replaced...

All of you sw200 owners: check your ratchet wheel! If your clock stops ticking it might be too late!

What a bad news, I was planning on getting the SW200... should I still purchase it or do I have to find solid alternative(s)?
