I can only see the sides on the wrapped version so far

That's the only one that should be covered bro. It's plated, not wrapped.

Wrapped - 30mils
Plated - 5mils

SEL sides and mid links - covered or uncovered.

It used to be that wrapped implied covered and plated implied uncovered but no more. There are all combinations now. This TT is plated and covered.

Looking at the movement balance is a SA version which wasn’t so good on 3135 )no parts interchangeable)
If that’s the case I wouldn’t put that in my watch

That makes sense from BP/GMF. Swap in a VR3185 or scavenge the dial and insert and flip at a discount.

I think they may be using the wrong sized minute hand for the 116710. The minute hand length looks more like the length used in the 126710.

The insert is looking much better. I am not able to make out any visible speedbumps in pictures or video. I wonder if that issue is now solved?

I think this insert with a spongebob mod is just going to be... just amazing. Fingers crossed, as his mod sometimes highlighted the speed bump in the past (and by his own admission too).

Will these movements trickle down the the 216570 reps? I know not as popular as the 1167?? watches are, but I'd think the demand would be there for a CHS Explorer II that isn't a time bomb.

...Would be nice to be able to fit one of these gen crystals I’ve been hoarding for this moment....
Except for the one that you sold to me - which I have for the same purpose LOL!

This is exciting news! I have been wearing my GMF BLNR with the ICHS and have genuinely enjoyed it bit if a cloned movement BLNR with a better insert is in the offing I am in!!!

You're right bro, shame about that. Fixable but the bezel and crystal have to come off and the movement removed.

Interesting- it looks *a lot* like the top of the rehaut of my VRF 116710ln. Very rought surface finish. I wonder if a number of the parts are sourced from the same place?

There is a speedbump you can see it when enlarging the pictures a lot but it's really Minute and i guess when doing a paintmod you would hardly notice it when examining

Can you elaborate on that? Things were looking really good until I read your post. Could this be another timebomb / unreliable movement?

Noob used an SA movement that, if operated inappropriately, increased the chance of snapping the hour hand spring. VRF (as well as ARF?) used a VR movement with much higher reliability.

They did a nice Batman insert. Blue color looks good. No more white lines on the transition points at 6 and 18. No speed bumps in the TS pics. Even Noob never made a Batman insert this good. Kudos GMF.

From the bridge, the autowind gears, this is an SA3135 (used in noob and in BP/GMF) converted to GMT function. It won't accept gen parts, and isn't comparable with SH3186 or breautiful VR3186.
