Rehaut alignment looks good tho. Would like to see the crystal height.

Here are a few pics of mine from September

Will these movements trickle down the the 216570 reps? I know not as popular as the 1167?? watches are, but I'd think the demand would be there for a CHS Explorer II that isn't a time bomb.

I'm interested too. Anyone can kindly give us info? I would love a 216570 black dial with a CHS reliable movement but (I must admit) I'm not sure to have understood which one it could be. Too many acronyms (of the makers) to remember. I confirm that I have read a lot of post and I'm grateful to the authors.
Many thanks
regards

I am wondering if any of you have had experience changing an order because of repeated bad QCs or an inability to provide the expected model?

I changed an order altogether after getting this QC on a GMF wrapped Bluesy ($934). It had the now infamous bad rehaut engraving on the left side. R's at 34 and 39 instead of 35 and 40, X at 43 instead of 44, and uneven letter spacing. This was before that flaw was well known. I don't care what anyone else does, I'm not having that shit on a $1K watch. I have a $60 DHGATE beater with nearly perfect engravings. I added maybe $75 to the TD and got 3 other reps instead.

I really appreciate the experience you share. Worst case if they cannot make an acceptable ICHS happen, I'll try to change my order to a CHS v3. I will keep the group posted as long as you all don't mind. At the very least it seems everyone here is very interested in GMF BLNRs so how this shakes out may be worthwhile for all.

Well it is there. Here are a few more pics. KJ2020 (who else) put up some pics of it in one of the dedicated GMF BLNR threads. I personally can live with it and can live with the ICHS, the not-quite-but-still-pretty-good bezel insert and the rehaut aligment issue. In August 2019 this was the best BLNR available and it was the one rep-and Rolex- that I wanted, it was my first rep and I will always remember it fondly.
But when COVID19 is over or if/when the economic ramifications are clearer i will upgrade.

For $934 no way. For $2-300, OK .... it's a pretty watch!

Dang... so did you order a v3 ICHS, too? I sent back a response to Jana to request that we try again on the QC and this time ensure that the next QC will have the v3 insert.

Looking ahead I am wondering if any of you have had experience changing an order because of repeated bad QCs or an inability to provide the expected model? In this case I am wondering if ICHS will actually ever get the v3 insert or if we were all correct originally and only the CHS versions will see the new insert. Bottom line, I don't think I will be happy without the v3 insert so I may have to change my order to a CHS and I am wondering if anyone has ever done this once in the QC stage.

The plot thickens... I received a reply from Lana today. She's insisting that the bezel insert shown on my QC photos is, "exactly the v3 version as Li assured you." She also sent over additional pictures, but at least one of the other issues I had with the QC persists, so I replied back asking for a new QC and also asking for more detail on the v3 insert. At this point I am wondering if they're using different inserts on the different models and thinking that perhaps only the CHS version has the "fixed" insert that everyone seems to be salivating about on this thread. Not sure if I will be able to confirm this on my own and I may end up having to decide to accept the old insert for fear of upsetting someone by refusing multiple QCs.

Would appreciate people's thoughts on this?

At first I thought the 1s on the insert from my QCs had a little serrif and wasn't a V3 but I overlayed the two images and you CN see it doesn't. It's amazing how your mind can play tricks.

I uploaded the overlay and in full size so you can zoom in (if you look as closely as I do).

I Lso uploaded the pics I overlayed in standard definition.

So what are you thinking at this point? V3 or not?

As I mentioned, I don’t believe the pics that pop up on the dealer sites. When noob came out with the pepsi that was more a color of the soda than the can, the movement pics were all wrong and the colors were all wrong. And that was on trusty time, pure time, and others.

I have an insert already i think i might use to swap to swap if I don’t like the insert. I found a datewheel I had in my old parts too. It’s tthe movement I am really interested in.

It's not just the dealers Website, we have already seen qc pictures of the new Insert. Yet they do might only use it right now for the chs ones till the old ones are gone.

These are QC pics from Li posted previously in this thread by sickopsycho so I think there are some inserts left over from an old batch. We really push him to the limit but we do give him a lot of business. IDK if he can make this happen for everyone.

Thanks. That's the CHS v3, so I'm now wondering if CHS is the only way to ensure the fixed insert is provided. I think I'll be switching to CHS because at this point I can't pass up this improved bezel insert. Lana sent me back to Li to discuss.

Well, folks, is looking like the latest v3 insert is not consistent. I spoke with Li who sent me pics of another CHS the recently QCed and it's worse than the ICHS model I posted above.

It appears that the inserts are showing great variance in color breakpoints and the speedbumps are not always improved in the 18 side.

I shared sickopsychos pics with Li but I'm not thinking that's going to help much. It's looking like the wait for a more improved BLNR continues.

So the final decision after talking to Li was to continue with my ICHS QCs until I find an insert I am happy with. He literally told me the insert will be luck. I hope I don't ruin this for everyone else, but I am going to try to find an insert that looks good via the QC process.
