Can anybody with this new 42mm post a side by side and a wrist shot with a sub or datejust? Pretty please!
My 226570 polar is on it's way and should arrive next week... got also 116610LV and 124060 Sub as well as 126334 Wimbledon ... can do the shots for you next week if you like.
Hi guys, understand thread title is GMF 226570 with VR3285 movement
Other than trusty, the GMF 226570 I found in intime and jtime have it listed with SH3285 movement
May I know if it is the same movement or am I missing something?
I’ve read through the thread but couldn’t find any info on my question, appreciate if the pros here can advise

The SH3285 is the same thing as the VR3285. The movement is made by the Shanghai movement factory (hence the "SH") but the movement is based on the VR3235 movement, so that's why it's sometimes called the VR3285. But rest assured, VR3285 = SH3285... they are one and the same.

Really like this watch but afraid the movement is a time bomb
It’s too early to say with much certainty. I’ve seen a couple of SH3285s with broken setting levers. But there’s a selection bias there — people with SH3285s that work perfectly don’t tend to send them to me for repairs.
This for me actually makes or breaks the watch...which factory has the best option that matches more to the gen screw down crown. Not sure I see it mentioned. From my understanding the GMF crown is bigger, but also the better overall watch that matches the gen?

To me, the biggest flaws are GMF’s crown and JVS’ incorrect date window placement. You’ll need to decide which bothers you more. For me, I chose GMF.
I made the same consideration… and plus with GMF you have the best overall quality feeling .. I mean look at the case ..bracelet ..clasp.. hands set..
