I just got mine last night. I ended up ordering one with a brand new Sellita ST220 for an extra $100 as I want to keep this watch longterm.

It is stunning. I tookl the back off last night to check the movement and greese the seals and decided I'm going to whip the bezel off tonight and reallign the insert perfectly, and loctite 222 the strap bars in. Other than those jobs, which I do on 90% of my watches anyway, it is perfect.

Just need to wear it and check it keeps time next!

Stripped and rebuilt mine this afternoon, a very straightforward task as all the parts are so nicely made.

I'd read on this thread about the lose lugbars and checked mine, they were only finger tight so would have fallen out and been lost pretty much straightaway. I made a couple of tools by filing down a standard hex key and put the lug bars back in with Loctite 222 and tightened them up.

I got the bezel off easily, it is much more sturdy than the usual ring-with-the-insert-taped in affair. The insert is bonded into a solid ring which then mounts on a standard style clicking ring. Case knife flipped it off, I lined it up smack on diamond at twelve and pushed it back in place.

Watch looks flawless now and the strap won't fall off. Awesome!

I would've loved to see pictures if the process.

Did you pre-pay the whole thing? If that was the case' - Yeah, sadly... you know they kept your money and got the new money, because they figure the new dudes arent gonna pre-order. So you guys made it happen and you have to wait alittle longer. BUT.. maybe MAYBE if it wasnt for guys like you, no one would have them. Besides, it could be from a different TD?? (I didnt read that far back and see if this TD was where you paid your pre-order money to) Nor do I know, if you paid in full, or any details. I am just assuming. :)

I was just told to check back in two weeks by Puretime.

We shall see. I really want this watch, but I can't see dropping the kind of coin the real ones go for.

This is KILLING me!!!!! My FF shipped last week and has been stuck in Jamaica, NY for the last 3 or 4 days with no updates. I've always had great experience with Priority Mail Express International (usually 1 day from customs clearance to my doorstep) but this Jamaica, NY processing/sorting center sucks ass!

Got mine today, 6 days from payment to in my hands! I am really impressed with the build quality. Now I need to refrain from wearing it anymore until I get the T3 drivers in to tighten the lug screws.

Just file down a 1.5mm hex key, it took me about 20 minutes and worked perfectly. Since I set the screws with Loctite, they've not moved after being on my wrist full time since I got it!

If yours is anything like mine, you should get yourself a pair of T4 drivers too. One of my lug bars was T3 size, and the other was T4. Those lug bars are really the Achilles heel of an otherwise fine rep.

Thanks for the advice. I may just do that. I have a local shop that sells the Wiha torx drivers loose. When I went they just happened to be out of the T3s so I ordered those online. But they had plenty of T4s (and for a good price of $4/piece) so I might as well pick some up just in case.

Good to know, I plan to get two cheap but decent sets of drivers, not much more than a pair of Wiha. Normally I like to only buy good tools but I don't see using these more than a couple of times.

Just an FYI, 1.8mm thick spring bars will work as a substitute to the BP screw bars. Although it doesn't look as slick as the stock screws, at least I can wear it worry free. I had some spare 26mm x 1.8mm spring bars, shaved them down and they fit. You can find 23mm x 1.8mm spring bars online that would likely be perfect.

Oh and like others have experienced my Wiha t3 only worked on half of the screws, the others were too large for it.

Here is a link to a review of a gen with excellent close up pics. Until someone does a side to side comparison, you may want to check out this link and see for yourself the accuracy of the truly amazing 1:1 rep. The only minor flaws I can see are the screws on the lugs (not quite the same design but extremely close) and the stitchings of the sailcloth strap, the stitchings of the rep are too close to the borders whereas on the gen, the side stitchings are further towards the center but again, only if you scrutinize it that you will notice it. Otherwise, the rest is just stunning.
