Has anyone tested the fifty fathoms (not modified, straight out of the package) under water, like a running tap or shower? Is it water resistant at least to showers or tap water rinses? Thanks
The sail strap just blew it away. The gen's is darker, a real black sailcloth with real black stitches. On the rep, the sailcloth is like carbon grey and the stitches are grey.
And I asked Toro today and he said all gone. Seems like either he didn't get too? I suspect others will show up somewhere

On meeting someone with the gen... Custom strap solves that. Got a Stone Creek on the way... can't wait! Thanx for the info... nice to know. How did the rest of that "encounter" go? Was he impressed with the rep...or were you move impressed by the gen. When I come my best reps to gens... I usually come away feeling like a got the better end of the deal (savings wise for sure...)
Earlier in this thread you'll find info on proper tool. I just ordered 2 from Amazon for my incoming FF and Gunny Strap. Apparently, you need 2 of them.

Would the different batches from various TD's all have identical serial numbers on the caseback ?
As far as I know, each BFF has a unique serial number. I don't think the factory has been making the numbering sequentially though. For example, I'm one of the early adopters of a BFF with a 155x serial number. I've seen BFFs acquired after mine having serial numbers lower than mine.
