agreed! that 82 is way out! the contours around the markers/numbers etc is a massive give away.

As a side note i was wondering ale if it would be beneficial to add a index to each model (whilst theyre all here in one big list)

where basically we have a series of characters to designate the features of all pams....

e.g. first character denotes sandwich dial (s for no, S for sandwich) second character could be sub dial (d for no sub dial, D for subdial) third character could be for logo on dial, (l for no, L for logo) 4th could be finish, (e.g. S,T,P for SS,Ti and PVD/DLC) etc etc etc?
therefore a 111 would read SDlS, however if there was a better way, e.g.some way to present them all in excel, then that would be an option?

it was just a thought thats all....

as then people who wanted to find lets say a pam with a logo on the dial, PVD, no subdial, destro etc etc could also come to this very same list, and find which one that suited there needs was the cloest rep?

there are quite a few threads started of people saying are there any pams that have.... that are left handed.... any rads with xxx.... any 44mm .....

Really I had considered the PAM 036 as a low grade rep due to the inaccurate movement, because the gen has mvmt OPII and usually the reps have conventional Manual 6497.
But seeing this DSN rep with a quite good mvmt look I must change my opinion and first classification.

Since the DSM watch has a very good dial and case. We upgrade PAM 036 from DSN to First Class rep.
Thanks Boudart for the info because it was my mistake. Sorry

ALE

UPDATED PAM 036 FROM DSN FIRST CLASS REP !

NOTE: IF YOU OR OTHER MEMBER HAVE MORE INFO ABOUT DSN REPS I WILL INCLUDE IN THE GUIDE !!

Hi chou

Many thanks for your interesting comments. I see you have understood very well my project !!!

Are you reading my mind??

Actually I will present all the data of each model in a Data Table and some additional information about gen and rep and the links to the rep and the gen sites.

Now I’m studying the possibility to make an Excel Table with all Data and load this table in an external server. In this way people will be able to upload the general Data Table from the external server like:
mediafire.com

and operate the Table with the Excel software abilities. Besides the Data included in the Thread.
But at the beginning of the project I didn`t bear in mind this possibility and now I would have some hard additional work to make the complete Excel file.
I’m now trying to use my current files to create the Excel, but the job is very long and I don’t know if I will be able to finish it. As you know this thread took me already 300 hrs of work.

For this reason I have not yet published the Thread.

You have encouraged me to continue with the Excel :facepalm:

And...I don’t know if tell you THANKS…. :lolcina:
LOL

Hi Boudart
Actually The Medium range include Good and Medium Class, because the next step is First Class.
We cannoit include the DSN 082 dial in a First Class rep and the hands texture either IMHO

As I said ealier Dial texture is spot on, as well as hands, my pics are outdated, there are some review on RG and WC from greater pamhead that stand for that.
At reading distance the smudge is almost invisible:

But if you think a 082 cannot be first class, then on the same criteria you must lower the whole serie of the 312, 320, 351, 359, 386, etc... because that A7750 is the biggest tell ever.
At reading distance any Paneristi will know it's those are rep.

Hi Boudart
I guess you are talking about downgrade all PAM which are in First Class but the gen have a calibre P9000 and the rep have A7750, which is a very obvious flaw.
We have in this situation:
305-312-328-351-359-and 386
(because 320 is already medium class, and I think that in your post you mean 328)

Well, I think you are right.
But it is not the same a DIAL flaw always in full view that a display caseback movement flaw out of sight when you are wearing the watch
Besides, people usually is more indulgent with movement flaws in Panerai with display caseback, maybe due to they are almost always evident.

ANYWAY:
I WILL CONSIDER TO DOWNGRADE 305-312-328-351-359 AND 386 TO THE GOOD-MEDIUM GRADE IF YOU AND MORE OPINIONS AGREE WITH THAT.
THEREFORE:
PLEASE THOUGHTS AND INPUTS ABOUT TO DOWNGRADE 305-312-328-351-359 AND 386 TO THE GOOD-MEDIUM LEVEL
Regards
ALE

I would give it a better grade than a medium. You guys have to remember that this is a rep from a edition of 300 from like 10 years ago, whos gonna know? Also my dsn 082 looks way better than the pics i gave and the others, the 2 gen pics are like professional grade, but thats my opinion as i am very new to reps.

Do you mean that an old watch rep must be always a Frst Class rep only due to it is very old and have little edition and anybody knows about ??

Please remember is not actually Medium grade:
IS GOOD and MEDIUM GRADE REPS !!!!!!
The next step is FIRST CLASS reps

What grade is a pam 229 from DSN?

I have the PAM 229 in general as a Good-Medium Class rep
I think it will have the same issues as similar reps from DSN and other suppliers with blue dial

How about the other newborn DSNs? The 091E and the 164, for example?

Hi mysterio
Many thanks for your kind cooperation
Really I didn't bear in mind all reps from DSN
But, reading the comments from several members including you, it seems that there is a "rebirth" of DSN reps and, therefore, we will need to study more deeply these DSN reps.

BUT I think that for me and for a lot of members it is impossible to deal with the DSN photobucket site
It is very dificult to know what is new and old and what are really the existent models.:facepalm:

I think is time to stop temporarily the launching of the GUIDE without a more deeply study of DSN reps.
Therefore I ask all DSN rep "connoisseurs" to inform in this thread about the DSN rep which it is worth to consider and include in the future GUIDE and even have a quality classification.

I feel I'm not able to start studying the DSN photobucket !!!
Please help me !! LOL

This is a community effort, so I am more than happy to assist. :) As a start, I made a post in MickyPadge's thread on the newborn DSN PAM086D here. Not sure how I would classify it after the initial findings though I would say it is at least a First Class rep.

PAM Replicas from DAVIDSEN - DSN

As you know I'm considering to introduce more information about DSN PAM reps in my Thread Review Guide PAM.

I have already contacted David and I'm waiting for some informations from him.

But I would need to have your opinions about some DSN reps.

There are two interesting groups.

Exclusive reps. from DSN-
027 A - B
028 A - B -C
057 C
004
009
002 A
023 A
022 B
091 E
040
As far as I know these reps are exclusive DSN and we need information about their quality (Super- First- Good/Medium- Bad)

Other reps from DSN classified Good/Medium or BAD in other dealers:
001 A - B
086 D
164 I
229 H
024 A - B
082 (we have already information from Boudart)
We would need information about these reps in order to upgrade the current classification due to the quality of DSN reps.

Please, let's know if you have some information about these DSN reps.

Thanks in advance

Thanks mysterio for your help.
I saw this thread and I think it seems a good rep, this is the reason I have started some researchs about DSN reps.
Many thanks for your review it is very useful

I agree with you, but you can see more flaws in the dial: 12 marker position is wrong and font little different, some font markes are inaccurate 8 bad and 2 and 6 little different. 11 marker position is different. The fonts LUMINOS MARINA PANERAI are different. The space between R and A in PANERAI is short (that occurs sometimes).

And we know nothing about the movement is it a 21J??

I think that in this case the maximum classification would be GOOD MEDIUM rep or near First Class if it has a better movement

Never a Super rep

Thanks again
ALE

this thread deserves an award AND a sticky !!

Thanks my friend chromed you are very kind

I think you mean the final Review Guide Thread, no this thread... Isn't it?
