Hi,
I noticed 199 mentioned in the first page but no classification yet?
Does anyone have any comments on this one?
Thanks
Phil
PAM 199
The PAM 199 is very similar to PAM 024 but has a nice Woven textured dial. The gen PAM 199 was a Unique Special Edition of 500 pieces to commemorate the “Regatta†Laureus Sports Awards 2004.
The PAM Submersibles are the most heavily-built regular Panerai, with most design hints taken from the vintage Egiziano. They have milled unidirectional bezel. The hands are skeleton, as in the GMT. They are automatic watches, with small seconds @9 and a date window @3.
If you are looking for a Panerai Submersible with Textured dial it is better going to a PAM 025 from DSN, or better avoid the textured dial and go to the excellent PAM 243.

Does anyone have any thought on the 329L? How would everyone rate this watch?
The watch you are showing is a PAM 320 the Pam 329 is the same but with SS bracelet
PAM 329
The PAM 329 is the same as PAM 320 but with SS bracelet. These watches were introduced in 2009 L-series.
The bracelet is the new bracelet design of Panerai introduced in 2006 with the PAM 328, this new bracelet is not as unique as the old Panerai bracelet but is nice and more comfortable to wear. The watch is actually like a PAM 328 but with GMT function. But it is powered by the new Panerai P.9001 “Manifattura†movement instead of the P.9000. Like the P.9000, this is an automatic movement with a power reserve of three days, but the P.9001 has a power reserve indicator (at the backside) and it has a GMT function built-in.
The watch PAM 329 is also very similar to the PAM 233, but the PAM 233 has leather strap, an AM/PM indicator and another indicator @6 for the Power Reserve.
The silver GMT second time zone hand rotates once every 12 hours. The GMT function of the PAM 233 works the same way, but, as above said, the PAM 329 lacks an AM/PM indicator. Although you cannot tell if it is day or night in the second time zone, one will know that the 2nd time zone is ahead or not anyway. The absence of the AM/PM indicator certainly does make for a cleaner looking dial. The fact that the second time zone hands moves along with the hour hand makes it very easy and natural to tell the time in the other time zone. This GMT function is much better than the 24 hour GMT function of for instance the PAM88. It's also nice that you can hide the second time zone hand behind the hour hand when you don't need it, which again results in a much cleaner looking dial. The PAM329 has a 1950's style case with a Display caseback and Black Sandwich dial. The gen PAM 329 has a special Panerai “Manifatturaâ€movement P.9001, therefore, for the rep it is impossible to be close to the gen with a display caseback. Please bear in mind if you are looking for a big accuracy.
There are cheap replicas fitted with A23J movement and quite good replicas fitted with A7750 movements.
