ETA 2836-2 vs Clone - how to tell "Swiss" from "Asian"

Mido is part of the Swatch group which owns ETA so they should be gen ETAs. If the one in that pic was already serviced it should have had the Incabloc shock absorber spring replaced, it's broken and missing a piece. The movement looks rough, the rotor has a little mangled bend on it, screw heads are a little chewed up. Might be OK if it runs well.

Thanks for this post with lots of information. Is ETA works always reffered to "Swiss" ?
I remember a time when the hype was "swiss clones", but they didn`t exist.
