Hi Guys,

I've read all the thread but I am still not sure if this movement is real swiss or clone, can anyone tell me what type is this?

could you please send a photo of the gears and shock housing?
But the finishing is very likely original.

Is there a difference in quality between the gold plated and the nickel plated gen Eta 2836?
Nickel plated is $50 more where I am looking and wanted to see if it matters.

Look at the picture above on post number 64 folks. A sure clone it is ! First of all the rotor engraving is just awful. Look at that ! Engraved like a chicken ! Next is the ETA emblem stamping. well ? It is burned in with a laser. Look at the outer burning on the emblem. Black ! It was on fire ! The real thing is clean as a whistle ! Boy do they try hard dont they. Read up and look closely in the very first posts and pictures on this topic. It tells you all. Look closely at the real Swiss ETA. The clones are actually getting worse as the years go by. They think we wont notice or are asleep. Lol !!

Apparently I purchased a replica Bremont MBII. The movement looks to me like a real Swiss ETA 2836-2. Any thoughts?
Thank you!!

Is it possible to have a real ETA 2836 with none of the markings except on the rotor?

Thank you very much! I did some YouTube searches on this and didn't come up with many useful items. This will help

Hi,

I recently found a person dealing in old watches and he is able to source these used 2836 movements, which he then services and sells. Are these good?

I'd be more concerned about his dual hobbies of watchsmithing and murder...
