Today I received a message from Suggess ... both bad and good news ...
no way buying just a few sterile Seestern casebacks BUT buying 50pcs would be OK ...
Now I just have to think about that ...
Custom engraved casebacks would be a nice addition to the Seestern SUB300 hommage but I don't want to loose money trying to make them exist ...

What would the price per piece be if we got 50 people together for a group buy?

Every one of your dials display your genius and skill Mano.

You showed an interesting hybrid of the Conquistador and the Sharkhunter way back in this thread.

The original Conquistador isn't amongst any of your current dials though?

Some day ago I was talking with the future owner of the "Turquoise Caribbean" about which color that dial should be ...
The original Doxa caribbean is "Teal Blue" but we agreed on the fact that in the Caribbean the water is more "Aqua blue" while that of the Atlantic Ocean is more "Teal Blue".

Based on this discussion I searched for photos that compare the two colors and came across what I think is the perfect example ... an aerial view of Eleuthera.
For those who don't know Eleuthera is an island in the Bahamas located about 80 km east of Nassau.
The island is very elongated... 177 kilometers long with a maximum width of 1.6 kilometers ...
At one of the narrowest points, called "Glass Window Bridge", the bay of Eleuthera (almost the Caribbean Sea) and the Pacific Ocean face each other, separated only by a few meters of rock.

The picture below shows that the Caribbean Sea (on the left) is "Aqua Blue" and the Atlantic Ocean is "Teal Blue".

After a long moment spent looking at this picture I had an "enlightenment" ...
I litteraly "saw" a new watch ...

Name Code : ELEUTHERA
Dial background : 3 colors
- aqua blue on the left (caribbean sea)
- teal blue on the right (atlantic ocean)
- sand color between the two (glass window bridge)
Printings : 2 colors
- black on aqua and sand
- white on teal

This one won't exist in real life until next fall, maybe even later, but one day or another it will be on my wrist.

yesterday I started trying to make my Seestern's caseback sterile while watching Rolland-Garros demi-finale ... already 3 hours spent handsanding and still some work to do on it ...
I'm afraid I could finish with a tennis elbow LOL ...
nevertheless tomorrow that caseback could be ready for Doxa sail engraving ...

It looks like you will need to prepare some 600T dial options soon.

hi manodeoro,

maranez copy your design :)

Thanks buddy !!!
LOL ... and it's SOLD OUT ...
What's funny is that Doxa never produced any IrishStar and I've made only one of it (second dial stayed in my collection) :p I guess the guys at Maranez saw some pics posted by Peter Mc Millar and they thought it was a rare and genuine Doxa ...
To be 100% I'm really proud to be copied  it means I've achieved a fantasy dial that looks as vintage as it's supposed to be ...

Great shots! Natural habitat indeed!

(Where is that Bay btw?)

So after you swapped in the handset and dial you had a watchmaker seal and pressure test her?

Best,

Hi guys ...

Today I have goooooooooooood news for those who ordered a Tiffany Blue Seestern and are not 100% happy with the dial

I made 2 pre-prints to check how it would look and TBH I'm really happy with the result
I still have to adjust some tiny dtails on the design and I'll be ready for final prints
