Canada, but in Hungary... for now
Well.. I went the path of self destruction ;) Ordered ZF version today and already have placed order for KW version. I will do C&R sale with the lesser one but before that I will have both of reps at the same time to directly compare.

How have you ordered a KW already? I didn't know that was an option

My annoyance with the 382 is primarily with the loose turning bezel and the non uniform height of the bezel markers. I own a Noob V1 PAM243 and a PAM187, both came with properly centered/ tight bezels, aligned bezel markers with uniform height... and I think both were cheaper too.

I have agreed with Joshua that when KW version hit in - he will ship the watch to me etc. So I will directly compare and then sell one of them.

I wouldn't be too worried chris9 I have my doubts it will be out within a week.

I have been holding off ordering zf because of this kw version, I have been pm'd/emailed 2 different things by 2 diff td's one said "checked with kw (maker not dealer) few more days" and maybe more expensive than zf but not sure, this was on 6/4. Another said "maybe next WEEK probably" on 5/4. now another is saying within a week, I just don't know what to believe. I don't know which dealer has the better relationship with the kw maker.

With any luck kw bronzo will be released tomorrow, if not I may just order zf as there are a couple dealers listing it $30 cheaper than Angus.

I have asked Joshua/PC about KW release as I know he has fairly good connection to KW. And Joshua's answer was "no news" which was change from last week's "next week release". So probably the truth is nobody knows and KW doesn't know it either - just waiting for complete batch of watches...

mehmet told me clearly within 2 weeks sometime earlier this week, instead of beating around the bush like his assistants (which always told me few days since ZF came out with the 382), they are already chasing the parts factory to hand over the goods.

Ive paid for the z factory version and have rejected 4 so far....CG lever not fully closing, bezel markers sticking too far out. Todays qc photos I thought were ok but now I see that the CG itself is not seated properly onto the case. Im tempted to forget this watch and use the funds for the Blankpain FF.

It will take noob to get this right. Mark my words. Isn't the bezel construction the same as the 243? How hard is it to take apart a noob to figure this out?

Some of the noob 243 bezels reportedly also had issues (although admittedly not as many as the current ZF PAM382) and fortunately not all ZF bezels are that way (my ZF PAM389 bezel, for example, is solid as a rock). In addition the last 47mm submersible they did was the PAM187 in 2012 and they did not improve on the previous version but rather they added so many flaws that the rating for their version was downgraded from Super Rep to First Class rep (bordering on lower status). We can only speculate why they haven't stepped back into the fray with an updated PAM389 when they were willing to go toe to toe with the other factories on the PAM372. It looks easy enough but only the makers can say if it is actually so.

Rep with such flaws (different bezel markers and not tight bezel) do not cost $500. For $500 you can buy Steinhart or Hamilton without flaws. Or almost 2 111 from h factory. So this watch is a crap. Why compare with gen? We must compare with other reps or gens for that price. No matter - gen or rep: product with such big flaws is crap. To say that it is a rep game - is to pay for crap product.

Go buy Steinhart then. I will buy the 382 and be happy.

I guess you are a dealer))

But walking down the street no one notices the Steinheart yet the Pam is a magnet for the eyes mine is developing nicely and worth every penny I would never waste on a German high price copy

You guessed...incorrectly. There are issues with this watch, admittedly, and some have pointed out what's wrong with theirs. But they would not be the majority of the PAM382 reps sold. More often than not, people will post when they are unhappy with their purchase, not when they are satisfied. This does not excuse the maker from rectifying the issues found with their watches. But this does not mean we should just call the watches crap. And no watch is perfect, I've seen even the venerable Noob PAM111s have issues from the QC pictures being posted. How about gens? Even gens are not immune to manufacturing issues. The rep game isn't about paying for crap watches. It's about calibrating your expectations. If you can't stand this "crap", then like BMW said, go buy the Steinhart. :)

I never wear reps, only collect them. Especially in cases when reps have visible flaws. I prefer walking down the streets with gens.
