In regards to the bezel, i use the Franken in rotation with my gen, and honestly, i dont see a point in changing the bezel. The latest ones from CF is REALLY good
You can easily wear one of these out the box. No one will notice on your wrist, and 100% no one will call you out, if you look the part.
BUT, if you plan on flashing your stuff on Instagram, no, it wont hold up to a gen, and it is pretty easy to spot the differences.
The new black dial does look better, but it still doesn’t compare to the gen. Pretty much everything is off when you go in for a closer look.
Enjoy it like it is, or spend stupid money like me to satisfy your own ego
Unsure if you are referencing just the panda/black dial CF, but I would have to disagree on the blanket statement of holding up to gens across this whole hobby. There are a handful of models out there that are virtually indistinguishable from gen without opening up the case. I've brought in my OP grey dial, VSF sub, ZF no-date, etc. to Rolex retail or in-person comparisons and they are so close to gen no chance insta or 99% of the population recognizes otherwise.
A couple buddies have the panda, and I agree on that front, some very obvious tells (like the red daytona lettering) that make still photos on insta or in-person comparisons obvious.

I can only speak for myself. I have all the popular Rolex sporstmodels in Gen. Daytona, subs, gmts etc. And i can tell you, there is not a single unmodded rep model that i cant spot in a good quality closeup photo, or if you put it in front of me in real life.
I agree, most people who dont know/study watches wont know, but thats not what we are talking about here. If you where it on the street, noone is going to call you out. But if you post photoes online (Good quality) there will be people who can spot the fakes, easily. Again unmodded of course.

The CF bezel is really good, but engravings are ever so slightly deeper than gen. In most cases this is absolutely invisible but when looking from the side or when the light comes from the side, it does make the insert darker as there is more cast shadows. Again this is very nitpicking, but I know you tend to go all in for your frankens, hence my comment
But if you're happy with the CF insert then no point upgrading. I saw your franken next to a gen, I think in another thread, and it looks greatAha ok my bad

You are 100% right, there is a slight difference in low light, but you really really really have to look for it.
If I get one handed to me for a great price, I’ll change it, but at the moment it’s not a priority Plus, I’m scared i would crack it during installation

The 116520 subdials should be shiny. That's fine. Their thickness was / is the issue, as they were significantly thicker than they should be. But yes, it would be great to see some photos of the last batches if they changed them or not.

Bezel font still seems to be far to thick I think. Does not prefer to be perfect for me. But thinner than original would be better for me as I think it looks more elegant

@Goldsimba1989 These posts are best suited in the 116520 threads and not here.
Secondly, you can't rely on stock photos from TDs because they don't always update the pics for every iteration of a model.
