Leo,
I believe your intentions are genuine and you're trying to do the right things, and that's OK by me.
What you've suggested in your post above is simply not possible in current rep dealer/supplier relationship for most of the dealers we know here.
Ruby, DSN and Trevor are exceptions, although even Trevor (Bobo) is shying away from this practice. Ruby will post the photo only after you've paid and she's ordered the watch from the factory, and that's very commendable. DSN will show you the picture of youtr watch @ your request, so far he hasn't had any issues with refusing to do so. Trevor is a mixed bag currently, as he sometimes sends you the photo of the watch ordered he has in his photo database of previous orders, so not good in that respect. He did this to me twice in the last 6 months, which resulted in one watch being returned due to QC issues.
All others, incuding cartel dealers like Andrew, Josh and Angus will NOT post you the photo of exact watch to be shipped, the way they conduct business in Factory-Distributor-Dealer chain, it's not practical for them...and they won't change their practice to meet expectations of the few hundred rep collectors. They're in this business on a big scale, and couldn't care less about our demands.
So stick around, read some older posts regarding dealers and reps in general, there's a lot to read and learn from those, and keep your eyes wide open. Also, let us know about your gripes in the future, we'll be here to listen and help, no foul language is necessary, really. 8)
