Oh wow never noticed it that ZF was that poor at QC. My 5007 v3 ran absolutely perfect with no flaws or problems at all. MarvellousReplica also picks the best one he sees :)

Really? M has send me quite a few with very obvious QC issues. Had a few with missing/damaged markers and case damage. I'm sure he would have seen it while making the pics.

Thats very weird. I would trust him blindly with picking watches. In all these years i turned down max. 2 watches or so lol

Overall I'm very pleased with M's service and he has become my preferred dealer over the last few years. Quick to reply, good prices and great service - I pretty much only buy from him these days.
He hasn't send me many with flaws but those that had issues were very apparent to me, but I guess he could have missed them.

Within 2 days after I'd received my ZF 5007 from Kuvarsit, I already had a scratch on the glass. Anyone experienced bad quality AR on ZF watches too?
Also, is there a quick cure to remove the scratch or do I need new AR all over?

No quick cure unfortunately, new ar or live with it (or remove the ar if it bothers you)

I used cape cod cloth to polish out the AR coating on the outer-side of the crystal. It looks good after that.

Three ZF's in family all flying without hassle, the key is to take these babies straight away to the watchsmith for another inspection and I can give you a word you will be satisfied owner for months to come.
The key is to have such a card in your sleeve like rep-friendly watchsmith. I'm blessed to have one in London. Second year BP5009 PP and 3777-06 PP flying like a champ no problems whatsoever. Maybe strap but it shouldn't be mentioned here since it's just a "place holder"for decent strap.

interesting to hear @vcente28 that you refused so many watches from ZF. I remember very well beeing almost banished from the forum for refusing 3 watches in a row because of QC issues being called out by our "known" passive aggressive toxic users for destroying the hobby and the dark market industry... good old times here...

hope you will receive your watch soon and you'll be satisfied by wearing it for months and hopefully years to come.
I refused the watch only 2 times for obviously flaws like crooked markers and scratches; the TD refused the others and still I don't have a watch without flaw....

I've not had any problems with any ZF watch. Touch wood.

Sadly I have to agree ZF's assembly quality is probably the worst of all makers. Lucky me, I have a rep friendly watch smith handy so at least cleaning, oiling and repair can be properly done.

I have the same situation with a great wtchsmith the problem becomes parts. The ZF movement is new and parts are not easily sourced, even with a cooperative AD seller, so the poor qc could end up with a watch that cannot be repaired without the parts. Anyway, still on the no more ZF bandwagon - to the point that if the AD seller does not state which factory made a watch on their web site, I ask which factory before I buy so as to not make another ZF mistake.

Reading all the comments on this site I was hesitant ordering a watch made by ZF. Trouble is, if you like IWC it's hard to pass them up. As I also heard some good stories, I took the plunch and order a IW500912.
I have to say that I am quite happy with my watch (2-3 months regular use).

Have I been lucky? Not sure.
Will I order a ZF again? Not sure, as the stories of others do fear me.
Would I order more IWC if ZF had their act together. Absolutely. There are probably 3-4 IWC's I would like to add to my rotation.

So ZF is missing out on watch sales that is 100% sure.

And the only way to address the QC issue is for them to get word of this through our TDs and then hopefully they take notice. As in the end they are in the business of selling replica watches.

What is the purpose of making a very good looking replica, and then dropping the ball on the assembly part.

So my advice is for all is to address your ZF quality issues with your TD and hope they get their act together.

Yes I think we can agree that ZF makes one of the closest to gen reps and it's indeed really unfortunate that they can't seem to deliver consistent quality.
I told Angus a while ago they should just raise the price for each watch by $10 and hire someone to QC every single watch that goes out the door.
He told me they are aware of the issue and have already started to improve their QC and he expects that the QC issues won't be as often in the future as they are right now.

WOW !

I wish I ran into this thread before pulling the trigger on a ZF 377706. Now im getting worried and regret my purchase before receiving any QC pics. I still think there will be some hope as I have seen plenty happy campers aside from this thread.

I bought it from intime. They even recommended the ZF over other factories. awaiting the QC pics but this thread left a nasty taste in my mouth...

Relax. ZF makes very good watches. It is ZF's inspection that is bad. Look at your QC photos carefully. I have many ZF watches. I just ordered another from ZF this week.

Cool Thanks alot. Ill be inspecting the crap out of the QC images. intime takes some very high quality images so thats great. Do you have any tips to what I should be looking for in terms of QC?

Thanks

The markers being crooked. The worse thing i have had is to send a watch for service because it was dirty inside I would rather have it repaired at my expense than sending it back to China. I look at the $100 cost as part of the cost of buying Reps. On average I am ahead. Also look at the review of the watch you are buying to get so ideas of the problems other members have had. Once you get buy the problems ZF does make nice watches. H Factory and GF are making some good watches. If you develop a good relationship with your TD they will do a good job for you.

Thanks for the reply. The reviews are what made me get into this particular watch. It just looks amazing.

This is my second rep, buying again from Ryan. Wouldn't say we have a relationship but the pam441 I bought is nothing short of perfect and I have zero issues with it but then again it's a pam. This IWC is a lot more intricate and the movement is more complicated. Unfortunately I don't have any watchsmiths I know but I would rather spend on repairing it locally as you stated as to shipping to china. Thanks again

Just got my 3777-06 from ZF and I'm fairly happy. The QC images looked flawless but upon arrive so far I have only noted one flaw. The 9oclock market but it's barely noticeable unless u really study the watch carefully. Other than that, I'm pretty happy.

Chrono works but I won't mess with it. The dial has a sunburst effect but only during certain lighting conditions and angles. AR glass is pretty damn close the gen. Yes, the day font isn't bold compared to the date.
