90% of the reps have these types of problems. You can't expect a 100% perfectly lined up watch for 300$.
So you either tone down your expectations, or you should start looking at brands like FP Journe and A Lange&Söhne.

Not all reps are created equal. That's why there is a special categorization called Super Reps, which represents the cream of the crop. Sure not even the Super Reps are 100% perfect, but they should be able to pass the visual test with flying colors by being Gen like. Markers are not a common problem with reps, and if we look at the Super Reps list, how many of those has an obvious and common marker problem that tells you are wearing a rep?

So it's not an issue of lowering a buyer's expectations for $300, but more of maintaining the integrity of the community's Super Reps list.

Because the rep game has elevated to a higher level now, with clone like watches being produced by factories, competing for the same model, and for their issue to be part of the Super Rep list, they have to pass the visual standards of OCD buyers.

This is just my humble opinion, for the proper guidance of replica watch buyers in this community

Nope, that's not true. Pretty much all watches from ZF have misalignments or other QC issues, and there are still a lot in this list.
Perfect reps out of the box are very rare. Even if they're considered a 'super rep'.

I would agree that some factories have generally better QC than others, however, when you zoom in on a high res pic you will ALWAYS find imperfections.

Same goes for genuine watches by the way. I've seen countless gen Patek Philippe 5711s with misaligned markers.

Exactly! that is why there is NO Patek Philippe 5711 in the Super Rep list.
We are not talking about replica watches in general here, but rather the creation of a long-standing and credible reference list for the community called "SUPER REPS". That is why I've asked you for a specific example of a persistent and common mislagned marker issue with a model from the Super Reps list.

I was talking about genuine (20.000$) Patek Philippe 5711s.

90%+ of the watches on the "super rep" list will have imperfections when you buy them and start drawing grids over high res QC pics.
You are clearly not very experienced in the rep game, which is fine. But you shouldn't act like you know everything.

As I said in my first post, either lower your standards or just leave the rep game because you will NEVER get satisfied with your expectations.
The super rep list is not a list for perfect reps since the chance you will find one is very low.

Yes I know you were talking about a Gen PP and I used that as an example because it's ironic.

You are making generalizations which you can't seem to back up with concrete examples. Any model with this same issue discussed within this forum would suffice.

It is wrong to make assumptions about other people, or their experience in the rep game. I am not new in the game, but am new in this forum. And I've never said anything about knowing everything. Again, that is your assumption. Don't make things personal. You're only stressing yourself.

What I proposed is from a viewpoint of a regular rep watch buyer, and not a seller. My intention is only for the long term benefit of fellow replica buyers. Nothing personal. I won't get anything from sharing a recommendation or experience here. But I do it anyway to contribute to the community.

Do you want me to name all the watches on the list? 90% of them will have imperfections if you start drawing grids over high res QC pics. Is it really that hard to understand?

If you've been in the game longer it even shows a higher level of ignorance. I guess you don't want to learn.
Just keep buying and looking for perfection. At one point you will lose interest.

i can agree with this. the quality from ZF factory is dropping.

Again, you're just making generalizations about imperfections and not about the specific issue being discussed.

Just to enlighten you, I've bought many reps that are NOT in the Super Reps list, but never have I felt disappointed or lost interest in the hobby. Because I know what I am buying. I'm happy and I enjoy my purchases.

My proposal here has nothing to do with "my" or "your" tolerances and expectations, but like I said, to contribute to the integrity of the Super Reps list of the forum. I rest my case.

You are making generalizations. Just because you received two watches with slightly misaligned markers doesn't mean all of them are bad.
The point I'm trying to make is if we would remove a watch from the list (or lower it a tier) just because a few people received bad examples there wouldn't be any watches left on the list.

Having perfect QC at the factory is no requirement for a rep to get on the list.

You're starting to sound funny when you copy people's statements. Anyway.
I have shared my own experience and I can back it up with a similar case of other members observing the same very recently in this forum:

https://forum.replica-watch.info/for...es?view=thread

another one:

https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...e-on-this-black-pelagos-v6f-v4-qc?view=thread

There are also a couple of "For Sale" Pelagos up in the forum and you can see the pictures for yourself that they have the SAME MISALIGNED / CROOKED markers. Additionally, I have just seen in another thread here that some early buyers did have the same marker issue:

https://forum.replica-watch.info/for...cs?view=thread

I am not generalizing, and it is apparent that it's a common problem with the Tudor Pelagos Blue / Black to have misaligned / crooked / dancing markers, which is a BIG TELL.

The Big Tell issue is what brings models to the Super Reps or not. Not QC pictures. I'll give you another example: why do you think until now, there is no Rolex GMT Master II Coke or Pepsi on the list? That is probably one of the most bought rep on the street. But why even the current releases hasn't passed the scrutiny of some critics?? Simply because the bezel insert color where the Red meets the Black / Blue ain't right. That issue can't be easily spotted by an average buyer like myself. But many here can see it, and hence it hasn't reached Super Rep status.

So to make your argument more credible, please do give specific examples of the issue being discussed, not generalizations.

Drawing conclusions from a few watches out of thousands is not generalizing?

The issue with the two color GMT bezels is something completely different. They can't get the color and finish right because they don't use the right techniques and materials. That's a clear flaw.

Since you like links, here's a topic on the very bad ZF QC: https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...eplicas/295214-contiunued-poor-iwc-zf-quality
Very hard to get a good ZF IWC out of the box. Yet there are still many on the super rep list.

By the way, here's a gen Pelagos. How do the markers look?

Thanks for the link, and NONE of the watches they are complaining about are in the Super Rep list.

For the Rolex GMT II, the issue you said is just one of the issues nitpicked by members, but the more critical one is the "joint" of colors at 3 & 9 o'clock or more specifically numbers 6 & 18 on the bezel insert. Go read some more.

So again, please do give a specific example of a watch in the Super Rep list that has MISALIGNED / CROOKED / DANCING markers. Or any BIG TELL that average buyers can immediately see, such as the case with the Pelagos.

Not sure what you're looking at but one of the first watches being discussed (3777) is on the super rep list. Also mentions of the Big Pilot and the Portuguese.
The topic is in general about QC at ZF which there are a few of on the super rep list.
The issues with ZF are known to pretty much all members but I guess it's something that you missed in all your 'experience'.

As I said in my previous comment, the issue isn't just the joint parts in the GMT insert. They can't get the right materials and use the correct techniques to get the gen look. That's an issue which is most visible at the joint parts but it's present in the whole insert.

As I said before, you have no clue what you're talking about and this argument is a big waste of my time.
Try spending some time on the forum before making more useless comments.
This is the last time you get the pleasure of me replying to your rubbish.

Yes the Pelagos rep has misaligned markers. It has been known for years.

This is indeed an excellent reference and we should contribute to keep it updated for the community.

My contribution / recommendation:

Tudor Pelagos Blue and Black from V6F should be demoted from the Super Reps list and moved down to First Class / AAA.

I have placed an order for both Blue and Black models, from 2 different TDs, but both QC pictures I received have issues with the dial markers. Some markers are crooked and does not sit straight or proper, and can easily be spotted from a distance. This is a big tell that we have a rep on the wrist, hence, does not deserve to be in the Super Reps list.

I am attaching pictures with the highlighted problems with this version but I will not mention the TDs as it is not their fault.

thanks for the contribution Bezelover and i completely agree with you about the pelagos. i have 1 myself and absolutely love it. i respect Lirik comments and certainly agree that i am buying a rep and accept the flaws that come with a rep. however this list is to differentiate difference between super reps, first class etc. so i think we do need to be picky and detailed in what we class as super reps.

The current Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m LMPO Noob V5 also has obvious tells that makes it no longer a super rep. The latest batches from the factory have orange painted seconds hand instead of red, the case back says WOLDPREMIERE instead of WORLD PREMIERE (typo with a missing space), and the Q in "Liquidmetal" is too thick.
