Can someone assist on recommending repair for daytona 7750 stem and crown. I need to know what to buy. Thankyou. I broke the replacement crown and stem trying to screw in.

I must have missed something. I only see Daytonas with SH4130, where can we find the DD4130? Or is it the same movement?

There are two different movements. At present (Oct 2023) the DD4130 is used by BTF and CF; and the SH4130 is used by QF, ZF, and APSF.

As I mentioned in the “naming conventions” section in my initial post: the prefix letters are inconsistently used, so it’s best to learn how to ID movements based on the arrows that point out key differences in the pictures I’ve provided.

I had indeed read it, but by comparing the different photos, I seemed to see that there were 3 models: SH4130, DD4130 and SA4130, and the manufacturers' description doesn't help.
Are the 2 models (easily) interchangeable?

The VR3235 isn’t a drop in replacement for the SA3235. The SA3235 is based on an ETA2824 so swapping would be basically impossible due to different sizes / positions of key parts of the movement.

Ya sounds like my luck. I ordered two different 3235's from aliexpress before I looked into it more. I was told my Submariner 41mm is from Clean Factory but the movement appears to be one of the less desired 3235 clones. The watch is beautiful, heavy and well made. Just seems weird it would have a less than average movement inside. Well I guess I have two vr3235 movements that I can't use.

Best to avoid AliExpress for watches and stick to the Trusted Dealers listed in the TD sub forum. That said, AliExpress can be good for parts if you find a good vendor. Quality and accuracy of parts vary widely between different AliExpress vendors.

I didn't get the watch on aliexpress. I purchased the two new 3235 movements that will not fit into the Submariner 41mm that I have. I wanted to put the better movement in because the one mine came with is sa3235 I believe. I ordered the watch through someone else, not aliexpress. Movements only. Is there anything I can put those vr3235 movements in now that I have two on the way. What movement will my Submariner hold? How can I get it to use vr3235 ?

You might be able to return the movements to AliExpress for a refund (many vendors there offer free returns).

Otherwise keep the vr3235 as bench spares. It’s never a bad thing to have spare parts in the rep watch game.

A VR3235 is a direct replacement for a VS3235. But that’s the only direct swap that I’m aware of.

Many thanks for the great info. Could anyone inform me whether a gen 126610 date wheel will fit on a VR3235 movement. I've done the old cut & glue with gen date wheels in the past & never got it right.
