I finally got around to servicing the VR3185 in my 116710. Everything went smoothly. Well, I lost a 3185-5115 (itty bitty screw) and a 95019-4 (cap jewel spring)... then found the 95019-4... and got everything back together. Before the service, my GMT hand was not slipping when I used the crown position 2 (jumping hours). Now... it's slipping as some other members have said. I guess I'm looking for a 3185-660 jumping hours module now... and I'm seeing them at ~$160 on the bay. Is that about the right price this part is going for, or should I hold out and look for a better deal?

That's a good price bro, I paid $170. Just make sure to get one that's blistered.

No, it's listed as used. Cheapest blistered on there right now is $215. Why go for the blistered sale, to confirm its geniune Rolex and now a rep part?

Thank you everyone for this very informative thread comparing the ARF and VRF GMT Il versions. I have been looking for a base donor mid case for a Franken 116710LN that comes closest to gen spec. Most of the cases I have come across had movement mounts that were screw, tab and ring. Looks like the VRF case comes closest using only screws to mount the movement. Does anyone know of another 116710/126710 case that uses only screws? Thank you...

There aren't any others.

I had purchased the last blistered one for $175 :D:D

Check with misiekped. He might have blistered also.

This is pretty important part, I would stick with blistered only. Anyways, seller fierygems has some Pre-owner listed for $125 on ebay. They are a pretty reputable seller, have purchased many parts from this seller. Good luck!!

I would like to know if gen bezel with insert fit into the ARF perfectly? Or is there and mod/removal of ring needed?

Because of this thread, I'm giving up on the Submariner and pursuing the GMT-Master II 116710 LN. Just emailed JTime. Really excited. Seems like I could just buy an ARF and wear it. I might replace the crystal, but these are so dazzling to my eyes, I think I'll be good to go!! Pretty excited!

Nice bro :)
would you accept this one?

It's against the forum rules to post your QC pics and ask members if they'd accept or not. It's up to you to use your judgement. If you have a particular concern (i.e. do you think the date marker at 9 o'clock is misaligned), you're welcome to ask that.

As I was replacing the ARF tube on my 116710LN case for a GEN I got the nice surprise to discover that the REP one was glued ...
Anyone else experiencing that ?

Thx
J

The insert is slightly misaligned to the left and I can't get it straight - this drives me nuts. KJ2020 in the end I used ARF's retaining ring as I saw no diff. with the original one maybe that's where I made a mistake...

By the way, ARF's bezel assembly is real good

hey did you have to switch out any parts to install the gen crystal? or was it a straight swap? thanks!
