Then does the above picture, meaning the gen, contain the correct "6" number? Regardless of whether I look at the y2l3 or l6v6 series, they all have the wrong 6. Perhaps it will be correct in v4 or v5, but based on the comments, they mess up something else in those. I bought a Tag Heuer watch and didn't find such a significant error there; in fact, the watchmaker said it's fine, at most a few seconds off. The only thing he checked was the stones, but with Rolex, they won't bother to ensure it's truly good.

The only reason that 6 would bother you is if you're a scammer trying to pass the GMT as real or scam people

Because 99.999999% of pop would never know or see on wrist, only experts in the field (and I mean they'd have to know Rolex detail down to what font was used, in which case you have bigger tells than rehaut font)

They can replicate even better finish compared to Rolex if they want.. we talk about chinese people and manufacturers who own a quite big % of the world market. I think in the first place they won’t do it because of fraud and the second, they will simply have no incomes anymore if they don’t bring up versions. Guys I've owned the gen for 2 years and not once have I been in a situation where my bezel insert was exposed to UV light light you're doing here.

So all this is purely theoretical. Just enjoy the watch for what it looks like in normal conditions

Exactly thats why im saying that all versions from v2 are good enough so no need buying new if you have v2 … but if you buying now than in my opinion go for v3s for that UV shit

I think you shouldn't accuse me of being a scammer! I've seen V2 versions where the number 6 is correct. I'm not interested in UV, the insert should be approximately color accurate, but there are many versions of this, even with gen. If there's a way, I'll buy the one that's closest to gen; I'd be stupid not to.

If the wrong font on 6 matters to you buy gen....

Agreed. No replica will be 1:1 for fear of a lawsuit (or worse) and, also the potential reduction of future profits.
this thread is a good example. Many own v1,2,3 and even all 4 versions. Some own all versions and, other versions of other factories. 92 pages of opinion, debate and comparisons. If a full 1:1 replica was made, no need for future iterations thus, capping profits.
For the price, quality and 95% accuracy, replicas are great. if you want 1:1 quality, buy gen.

I think, in my humble idea, that it is more important that the colours red and blue are as faithful as possible to the gen and the v3 is, rather than having a correct reaction to the uv but of the colours that in normal light are altered.

I've talked to a few TDs, and there have been series where, for example, the steelinox inscription is correct and the number 6 on the rehaut is accurate. If such options exist, why not ask for one? I know it will never be as accurate as the genuine, but it also doesn't cost as much. I've ordered a Tag Heuer watch before, and it didn't have these issues; I'm completely satisfied with it. The TD will let me know when they'll have such a watch, and if they do, I'll order it

You also can't compare Tag and Rolex, Tag is simple and doesnt have many things on a watch to replicate.... Rolex has a billion details that need to be replicated. Tag doesn't even have a rehaut engraving, LEC, etc....

Here's my Clean v1 with a Xing Bezel. Oh no it has the wrong rehaut font.... and absolutely noone has called me out or has it ruined my enjoyment of the watch...
