To be more clear in my question.
I am on the hunt for a 116622 3135 case to make an super Franken build.
But since noob is gone and ARF only are available in 2824.
I am not know what to do.
I have invested more than 3K euros in gen parts
A complete gen platinum bezel assambly,a dark rhodium dial,hands,crown,xtal.

This 126622 is realy promising and looks great from the pictures.
i realy hope there’s any possibility to put all gen parts with a VS3135 movement in the CF 126622.

Hope someone have can help me out with this?
Or if it’s not possible maybe have other solution what to do?
I would realy appriciate any help.

Out of interest, how much would a gen bezel assembly or insert usually go for? Those gen parts would make for an incredible build, wishing you all the best with it!

unfortunately after so many factories and versions they have not been able to make a real insert like gen, this my ARF clone, I don't see big steps forward ....

That bezel looks really good if not gen, is it Tomrep/Spongebob?

Thanks for posting videos! To only speak Chinese (!), would love to know their comments on bezel insert finish and bezel tactile click action..any other relevant details...from photos dial finishes look fantastic. cheers

Mandarin is my second language, here's what I gathered from the comments in this video:

• Bezel is PVD 904L with some anti-fingerprint treatment (??) but will still tarnish with sufficient oils from your skin
• Bezel action is between sub and GMT, feels inconsistent in different areas, lacking when compared to gen
• Crystal is pretty good
• Crown and SEL like gen
• Clasp sandblasting is good, engravings are less deep than gen
• Caseback lip and bracelet fitment like gen, better than EWF
• Grey dial colour >95% to gen, blue dial colour is pretty good
• DW thicker than sub, like gen
• CF uses Shanghai 3235 which has shorter PR of 42h compared to Dandong 3235 at 70h (both movements can be differentiated with different regulator positions)

I also have recently a received ARF yachty....bezel insert indeed impressive, as documented in yachtmaster club (and the other yachty thread, can't recall title) it does seem in past few years ARF improved bezel insert appearance that in photos (I've never seen a tomrep bezel in flesh) is similar to tomrep/gen.

Hard to tell from CF photos how bezel insert compares with ARF's...my biggest question along with dial blue color (also hard to tell from pics/videos posted so far).

Thank you both for giving me insight into the ARF YM’s, I’m very delightfully surprised that’s a stock insert (dare I say from pictures, slightly better than CF)! They’ve really fixed the grainy texture and horrendous numbers from the previous bezels.

How does the bezel action feel like on the ARF? I heard that the bezels on the older ARF YM’s turn pretty scratchy.

Looking at these videos coming out I don't think the markers being not shiny enough is the problem. They're plenty polished. The matte platinum base of the insert is just not matte enough or a different color than gen. That's why the markers don't pop enough.

Decent tactile click feel in both directions, I was pleasantly surprised bc I had a jf yachty (many say the same factory ) that had no click sound/feel.

I handled a 126622 at the boutique a while back and the click was very subtle with the bezel. I'm concerned that the CF might be more like a sub than a gen 126622.

I second this, maybe platinum really is significantly responsible for the (shiny yet matte??) texture we see in gen.
I also believe the edges of the raised parts not being sharp enough and the raised parts themselves not being flat enough reduce the contrast between the markers and base. Fortunately the overly tall markers conveniently allow them to be flattened and refinished.

Has anyone who ordered been given an estimate on when to expect QC ?

i just think without the use of the actual platinum material mix it is virtually impossible to achieve the same finish
if the bezel on a gen would be stainless steel it would be a different story.

to achieve this it's either franken or gen... i don't expect any factory to get closer than they already have

I will try the new clean release and if i love it as much as i think i will, i will possibly go gen on this one...

It really depends.

I have a purchase history and have been on the list for 2 years.

A friend of mine has no history and received his after 6 months. He ordered in a small AD in Austria. It depends not just how you buy. But also where you buy and how reliable the AD is for Rolex.
