@masterpiece777

can you please elaborate why you think the black dial needs a gen version? I have had several black dialed frankens and now own the v3 and I dont feel a big difference between gen + rep at all, same goes for the bezel btw.

It doesn’t in my opinion, but when you start comparing them with gen they are for obvious reasons different, and like in my case, you feel the need to switch them, if possible with gen. The gen bezel is smoother, text is bolder, reflects the light more like a mirror.. the gen dial has again smoother indexes, the sub dials are not that shiny, and depending on how the light hits they also get darker, rep ones stay pretty much shiny all the time. Not sure if I make sense 😅

I ordered a v3 clean white dial a month ago but still haven't received QC there is a huge delay.
and I already have a gen dial APH and gen hands when I receive it I will put the 2 dials side by side for comparison

I have received the V3 white dial and black dial.
The white dial is amazing and very good!
The black needs a gen dial.
And both need gen bezel since the bezel is flat and thin engravings.
But this is only “bad” thing I could find on these watches.
There awesome!
Can I asked which TD? Yours is clean factory or king factory?

Yes this is v3. Correct curve crown and non shiny sub dial and the space between steel Inox on the clasp.
What do you mean "correct curve crown and space between steel inox on the clasp"

I have to recall.
The black dial is pretty amazing!
I have received the gen black dial and it’s realy close.
The hour markers are slightly more rounded.
And the text on the rep is a little bit more vague.
And the sundials are reflecting the light a bit different.
But I would say that the dial is 90% close to gen.

Is it safe to assume that the most recent Clean 116520 white dial rep (link below) has solved the dial and bezel issues noted in this thread?

Hello,

I came into possession of a 116500 Clean V1 daytona.
Can it be valid that there are 116520 engravings between the case lugs?
as far as I know they still use the 116500 case with unfortunatel,
I was a bit disappointed since I want to do a super Franken project.
I know I will never put the bracelet off,but since i will put in a couple thousand on gen parts and want to get as close as possible
but on the long therm will buy a gen case with the wrong reference anyway 116503.
dont know if it’s possible the let change 2 digits to correct it.
but these are plans for the long term for now I am very pleased with the CF as base watch.

High chance you may get the correct engraving.. clean factory in the late production switch to using the 116500 case to stream line production due to demand.

Hi, excuse me a question, is the width of the subdials the same between Clean V3 dial and gen? Or are the sibdials in the Clean dial slightly fatter? Thanks

I think V3 116500 black dial is very close at least to my eyes. I’m comparing a it with my gen dial don’t see a difference in width and i’m assuming the width is always the same regardless of shininess/ceramic or not. I don’t have a photo of my v3 116500 comparing with my gen 116520 here. But the gen 116520 dial is the same as the clean 116519 as shown in the photo and i think it’s the same as the v3 116500 black dial to my eyes.
