Going to get Nikz18 to put me a gen DW and Crystal and full service of Batman. Anyone got pics of gen DW and Crystal?

Sure. My Gen is with the Jubilee. As you can see, the date is a little bit fat, but for me not a prob.
Switching the crystal makes sense, I already habe a gen one, but too busy for the swap.

Great photos, mate, validates reasons to update the rep units with gen crystal. I'm doing it with my pepsi and I'm also swapping the DW and hands with gen parts.

Are hour, minute and second hands same as Sub’s hands?

Technically they're the same, and that extends to the entire hands set, even dials, dw etc on some models.

The real difference lies in the changes between subsequent models of the gen. For example, it is known that the 12xxxx series have longer minute hand than the 11xxxx series in the GMT, where the latter didn't reach all the way to the minute markers. Similar treatments were given to the DSSD 126660 where the minute and seconds hands have been lengthened by about 1mm.

This is where owning rep gives you a bit more mileage in terms of how you get to enjoy it, how far you wish to put in the time, effort and money, choosing between being happy with OOTB unit or going the franken route.

Of course the above hand set is for a Pepsi, not Batman, but you get the idea ;) only the GMT hand will be different

These are the gen set that I've sent to my modder. Not sure if this will help you but I thought I'd share.

This is 11xx parts or 12xx? And if you don’t mind can you post a picture of the part numbers ?

Thank you

Some rep crystals do not have true 2.5x magnification on their cyclops and I think a gen Rolex may only have AR under the cyclops, and not under the rest of the crystal.

Also many rep rolex cyclops have that excessive blue tint from certain angles of view.

Having said that, many people actually like the double AR on Prof crystals as it gives them that invisible effect.

Do some search on the forum here and you'll find many references on gen crystal comparisons.

Thanks for advice. DW is 140 euro so maybe worth it as getting crystal and service as well

Got my Batman back from oascom with gen xtal and gen dw. This is 116710 from Li that I ordered at the beginning of August and just received. Can tell that new iPhone 13 is doing some weird things in post processing but looks great! Took some pics with the CF BLRO from Andrew that also has gen xtal and gen dw. Sounds like I got lucky in getting the BLNR delivered with all of the shenanigans that CF is pulling. Quote from OAS is that these are some of the most poorly constructed bezel mechanisms he’s ever seen but thanking my lucky stars, he did a great job on both! Now the CF pair is complete!

As was shown on here before, CFs bezel assembly isn't really the best there is and I was very unhappy with the crappy bezel movement on mine.

Greasy as can be, which is why it could move to begin with.

Changed the 3-pin click springy thing to a gen and removed all of the grease. Unsurprisingly enough, it know also feels like gen.

On another note: there seems to be a lot of confusion about hytrel rings (at least in my head), their shape (round, square, t- or l-shape) and how they're angled and I got confused as to how CF assembled theirs. Turns out the use a L-shaped hytrel ring but angled in the wrong direction, so you'd have to put it in reverse of what the gen would be (180° turnaround). Works, but was very confusing regardless.
