I got mine today from @CTime and it’s mind blowing! @m5smg2 I would like to give a proper bath with dish soap and a toothbrush. Then rinse under tap water. Do you think it’s safe? I don’t know what are the conditions of the orings, guess everything is tight…

Congrats! Maybe a toothbrush if it’s soft, with mild dish soap, lukewarm water. Yes O-rings and seals on top Rolex reps have always been tightly sealed, ok to wash hands, shower, even swim. And of course this part release is if even higher quality and share some photos

Got my Clean 126500- really blows the 116500 out of the water. Overall look, but also as far as reps go the feel is just amazing. I do not recall the CF or BTF 116 daytonas being this nice.

Given the alleged finish, it could be, but I would not do it untested.

I got one 12 panda last week too.
Having had many Daytonas including frankens and gens(all sold) I can say that this Clean 12 is insane.
Quality of materials, feeling and appearance are really as gen.
I prefer this new model because of the PM case shape that hugs my wrist so good.
Also sel fitment is incredible, exactly as gen, thigh and precise.
I have also an 11 panda(clean v3) on it's way as I wanted to put them side by side to understand which one could be better but I already know that I'll end up keeping both.
750€ for a 1:1 gen watch is nothing if you consider that you can wear it without worrying too much about scratches or whatever (in case of gen watches it would kill the resell price).
It's a non sense to get a gen if you plan to wear and enjoy it.
The only issue is what happened to @japer
A watch like this is gen for 99,9% of the people so you have to be careful exactly as you are wearing the good one.

Use a proper screw driver and grip with tweezers or hold it so it doesnt slip and scratch the bracelet.

Order of bracelet links don't matter but I prefer taking the middle links (so not the first and last link).

I prefer to remove from the 6 side first as I don’t want the clasp too far up on the 12 side.

$500 bucks for a Daytona crystal? Brother just spend some time in the parts section here there are crystals that do not go for that much

Or get a Deep crystal which is 1/10th the cost and looks even better than gen, although not "gen like", etc

I think that clean crystal is much more gen-like than deep. Deep is way too clear and the edge is wrong. Clean is not totally clear without direct light, but neither is gen.

Ok I agree. I said it before I'll say it again

Deep isnt most gen like but it is the most enjoyable crystal to show the face.

On the 116x

BTF - most gen like
Deep - most enjoyable/beautiful
Clean - acceptable

Some of us don't care about chasing gen. I don't care if its too clear or about a bevelled edge.

I.e here is two comparison pictures in similar condition. Very easy to tell which one is Deep and Clean

It’s not come off my wrist since buying it - I also bought the 126500 at the same time as I was unsure between the two but I’ve not even worn it or removed the stickers. Very comfortable on the wrist and the glidelock is a great addition (not sure if it’s on the 116). Factory xtal IMO does not need changing unless for Gen. Movement is not necessary worse, just reliability for Clean version is untested. Dial looks great in the flesh
