Speaking of service. Where do you guys service your reps? I have a couple of 7750 from some older V6 hublots and also two daytona’s. But dont know where to service i am located in NL.100% spot on.
Personally I would not consider the deep crystal on these CF 12 series. The stock CF crystal is not incredible (like it is on the VSF subs) but does not need to be replaced as such was the case with the CF 11 series where the stock crystal was absolute crap. There is too much to trade off (not gen like look and edge profile, rainbow/creamy shade on the outer ring, fragile outer AR layer that is subject to scratches...) for the extra clarity you get.
Honestly, I'd save the money and service the movement instead as it seems to me that this is where the extra care is needed on these CF 12 series.
Now, when it comes to the gen crystal, ignorance is bliss. You don't know you need one until you get one. So if you've never felt the absolute need to upgrade the crystal on your reps then save yourself the trouble and don't as going with a gen crystal is like opening Pandora's box. Once you see it, you can't unsee it and it's probably only in your mind but you'll feel compelled to put a gen crystal on almost every other Rolex rep even when there's absolutely no objective reason to do it. You've been warned!
Ant tips are welcome. Thanks!
