FAWK, I just bought that Breitling from tony.....damn it !!!!! Let me log in to paypal......

Just kidding, I knew all about that as I saw the initial thread. Probably not a big deal, perhaps it will catch the light funny but I don't think I will care.

BUT with that said, I think the mods or TB should look into this second coincidence.....chances of it happening by chance are 1 in 3600..... that is BS

Why bother sending QC pictures if you are going to hide the flaws with photoshop or some other cheap trick? It's only been a couple of years that QC photos have been available and the purpose is to give us comfort and to give TD's the power to say, "hey, i sent you pictures and you didn't say anything". If TD wants to abandon QC photos because they are a pain in the ass or ruin sales, then they are free to do that and we can go somewhere else with our business. If you want to use a tool intended to give members confidence and strip it of meaning by playing "hide the flaw", then you are undermining the purpose of being designated a "Trusted Dealer". We don't need those kinds of dealers to be a TD on this forum. There are other places and forums that welcome dealers that work against the interests of their members and they can do their business over there.

Having read through the entire thread, I'm having a good chuckle to myself.

Not at the point the OP was making, which is pretty shitty practice by the dealer IMO, but at the naivete of some of the comments.

'some dealers might not have the stock in hand'
'no drop shippers around here'

Get real!

Soooooo...you are saying they are "dropshipping"???

there are no dropshipper around here friend

Its nice to think that way but I don't believe it. All these dealers will tell you they don't carry alot of stock, well then if thats the case then after you order your watch they go get it for you, take your pics, and send it right?? Bullshit, they call up Long Dong, tell Long Dong go to seller get watches, take pics, then send to customer. Theres all kinds of ways for this to go but I think you get what I mean.

Your dealer in most cases isn't handling each watch himself, inspecting, checking, looking for flaws, shit your lucky if they even test it to see if its running. Its all about making dollars, they could give a shit about a imperfection, chances are you will accept the watch and not complain and they count on it.

Everyone wants a "perfect rep". But let's be realistic here. It doesn't and will never exist.

You got that right brother, people expect an awful lot from some dealer sitting at a key board taking replica orders. Perfect replica, LMFAO.

If you guys want to see the stupidity that has become of QC pics , go to a lesser forum and look at the section dedicated to it. A great display of human douchebaggery.

As far as hiding flaws purposely. I dont think anyone would support that.

Well said!

When I bought my IWC the case appeared to have scratches in the QC and I questioned it and the TD just wiped the case and re took QC photos. Ended up just being dust or something.

Either way it was that, that gave me the confidence to accept the watch and I knew I had found a great TD.

To be honest, I could not for the life of my find the flaw even after some of you pointed it out. It was only after someone said that it was hiding behind the minute hand did I have to do a double take to see for sure.

If the dealer live in Guangzhou - they do it. I've been with Mary at factories representatives offices many times, and I saw, how she buy watches there, bring to her own office, where her watchsmith inspect every watch from A to Z, and only then she ships the watch.
This is her guy, and yes, this is Mary's arm.

I'll tell you one thing about Ryan. I've contacted him on more than one occasion with PayPal locked and loaded and ready to buy watches he had in stock. He's advised me not to buy. To wait for better versions or find something else. If he were the type of TD that was out to make a buck, he would've taken my money and give a shit. I've had one QC issue and he corrected it right away. He's the best TD I've done business with since Lay. So you can accuse him of anything you want , but Thats been my personal experience with him. Take it for what its worth. Those who know me , are well aware that I dont shill for anyone.

I don´t think he cheated you. You just said it´s your favorite dealer. So why should he do that to you? You will find out the flaw anyway..

I would request a new dial, unless you want to ship it back and the long wait back to China..

I agree. I do not believe the Td's are hiding anything. They are reputable and want to stay that way. IMO some are way too picky. These are reps, at just a fraction of the price of a gen. You should expect that it will not be perfect. When you get it, if you want things changed send it out to a modder and buy higher quality or gen parts. I think everyone should be required to read the FAQ section. First paragraph says, "If you're looking for perfection, this is not the hobby for you" Most are going to have defects. So that's what you have to expect.
