funny thing about the thinner/bolder indices issue. When I look at the cartier website, the indices look like the thinner version.

I have to agree with Chijmer. Comparing the dial from gen on Cartier's official website with both this one and the Ultimate (having bolder fonts for the roman numerals), this one does seem to match better with the gen. The Ultimate font looks a hair too thick.

There may just be variations in the Gen Santos dial too...

Here's a pic from authentic watches

Anyone know the strap size in these? Is it 23mm?

Yes 23mm.....Are you looking for strap choices just like me?

Just wish I could find a OEM strap for this one....There isn't much else available....I don't feel like paying $270 for HKtan's strap when the gen is just another 100 bucks...

I'm giving you non-OEM options. If you want OEM, then you'll have to pay the piper full pop. I've seen a few aftermarket Cartier straps, and liked them. I had a $100 one on my last Santos that was well worth it. Personally, I suggest you guys get the watch and wear it, before splurging on an expensive strap. This watch wears big. It may end up not being your cup of tea.

Guys it's a fantastic rep for $150, remember macro shots always enhance little flaws that you will probably not even notice on the wrist.
I've seen plenty of OEM santos straps forsale on eBay regularly, just need to keep an eye out for one.
As BMW says this wears big on the wrist, so I would hold off shelling out any extra cash on a custom or OEM strap before getting the rep, this ones not for the skinny wrist brigade:rofl:

I'm looking forward to getting mine. I have a pretty skinny wrist but I hate small watches - much prefer bigger. My wrist is about 18.5cm / 7 1/4 inches.

You're right sharrkey, it is an exceptional bang-for-the-buck. I will just enjoy it once I get it, and not worry about the font being 2 micrometers thinner than the gen.

As I mentioned a few days ago, this is fantastic bang for the buck. The only question I have is about the case size. Toro's site lists it at 41x41 (which is close in size to the chrono), which the gen XL is 38.5 x 38.5. I wonder if this is a different in the way the watch is measured or or actually a different size case. Is there a gen (non-chrono) with a 41x41 case?

I received it, and it is a beauty!
I'll post some pics tomorrow when I have some time.
I can see it having a lot of wristtime.

Happy Father's Day all.
