All gen images unfortunately…
What makes you think its gen images? Unfortunately there's no reviews yet it seems. But for 110$ with coupon it's almost worth a try dont you think? Actually I just searched even more and tou can definitely get this watch becaude they have it on ebay without the cartier logo. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3748945501...ar=643998593760&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I think if they're making this watch even available for sale on ebay then there's definitely fakes with the logo on them out there too. I might just go and pick one up now lol.

Guys, it's the same unbranded model as before (see my review page 2).
They always put the same GEN pictures in description. If you look with a reverse search image, you will find the original articles like "Les Rhabilleurs".

I see now they're reps but without the cartier logos. All in all it definitely still looks like a cartier crash. And considering that it's the only one being made like the crash I think im gona pull the trigger on one. They're cheap enough. I did also see some "salvidor dali softwatch" wich is similar to the crash but with different shaped melting clock. Those are gens that are discontinued and from what I saw were selling for anywhere between 700-1000. If your into this style I would personally go for it seeing as no other better reps of it are being made. Plus the gen crash is like a million dollars so maybe wearing a perfect replica of a crash isn't all that great of an idea anyways lol.

Dude the images are photoshopped gen watches on almost all of the listings. There is this garbage equivalent with „kiosk“ engraved on the bag which looks like a toy.

If the 100$ rep would look like the watches shown it would be all over the forum as the demand is there.

You won‘t get the watch shown on the pictures - believe us.

I see the one your talking about and it looks like like crash to me atleast. I mean yeah it's shitter quality that doesn't even say cartier on the front but it has the shape of the crash to me. There's a few reddit reviews from people who bought on dhgate and etsy and ebay. It's the same kiosk on the back you describe but considering there are no others available this is a start. Perhaps you could get a dial and decent strap made? Alot easier than getting a whole rep made and might be a cool project. I'm debating going for it. But I understand wanting better quality. If you truly love this style check out the softwatch I mentioned its kinda cool.

These pics make me atleast go hmmm maybe ill receive something that atleast looks kinda like the crash? I'm a fan of thicker watches anyways so the fact it's not super thin is ok for me. Could be a little custom project.

Does anyone have a way to talk to the factories? This watch would be one of the most requested in this forum!

Well, there has been better Crash REP in the past: https://imgur.com/a/Acajbp6
And we "tried" to push this model a few times without success.
The logic of chinese factories and the chinese market still eludes me.

I had no idea this one existed, looks decent, I would definitely get it.

I want to think that it is impossible to obtain this right?

Yes, it seems production was stopped a few years ago and the last people which reported getting some said it was old stock from random dealer outside china (like Vietnam or Thailand).

I had the opportunity to buy one at the time but I choose to pick a Breguet Hora Mundi over it which turned also to be a rare piece nowadays! You can't get it anywhere.

Let's hope that one day they will take it up again, I think it is a watch that is very easy to make, and with high demand.

I didn't know about the Breguet Hora Mundi, if one day you have time and could send me a photo I would appreciate it, I am a big fan of Breguet.

That's a sweet one with the nice metal bracelet! There's so many reps that many people desire and yet all they do is make the same rolexs over and over lmao. I wish they could recognize when there is serious interest. Especially when people are willing to pay higher end prices. That makes it easier for them to recoup their costs. I think they don't put much work into reading what people want they just make the same few top desired models because the market is gaurenteed.

You can be sure that the factories indeed do market analysis before they churn out thousands of high end pieces - even the lower budget Cartier Santos reps are top notch and require a lot of R&D in advance. It's not just guessing what sells best - even though you have examples where it indeed doesn't make sense (looking at the eros Ulysses Nardin and Blancpain editions which are ridiculous).

Those examples are few and seem indeed a bit over enthusiastic - but yet again are an exception.

What would give us an insight into their strategy is the Chinese market and its demand - it mainly dictates what is produced and what will be sold by a lot. Auction house prices from Phillips and antiquorum seemingly don't directly reflect what the asian market wants but the western consumer.

The Chinese economy isn't depended on western luxury trends even though the whole luxury watch industry is brought to Asia. It's a weird thing noticing big players to orient their production, marketing and even identity more and more to the eastern market indeed. Then you have people like Mister Stern who openly says that he could sell around 60% of his watches directly to china but decides not to because he values loyal enthusiasts.

However I really hope for a Cartier crash myself - but don't be fooled by its simplicity when it is actually a sculptural piece of artisanal craftsmanship which will look cheap if corners are cut (like most Cartier examples from the CPCP era etc.)

This would be a project for goldsmiths and jewelers to replicate this piece with references like the article from perez cope above - those pieces were made by case manufacturers that worked for Cartier and had access to the original molds. Someone with extremely high competence in bringing together multiple professions to create vintage pieces of art like Phong would be required for something that would match what the crash is all about.

Lets keep our hopes up!
