Although I am not quite sure if it is necessary, I would like to ask if you mind to share the source of this rework? Is it from someone on wechat? I somewhat need a modder in Asia as well.

If it is necessary, if we have about 50 pcs order , I can order dial from factory and reworked. price less than 50USD.

There's a bitta dust on the dial but that's in direct strong sunlight and with a zoom you'll never have with your eyes.

I don't think the lume is a problem personally. Definitely not to stop me owning this rep. Its an absolute beauty.

I second this. There will probably be a difference if you use a loupe, but not with your naked eyes under sunlight. I actually did not see there is a problem with the application of lume on mine.

How about the 3D effect that some people said appears on the gens. I couldn't spot that in the photos. Tbh I think the rep is pretty close.

located HK or GZ, now I m make my best to rework it out..

I am interested. Kindly let me know when you have your stocks ready. Just add a post here in this thread so that others interested and I will make payments if the quality is good.
I am willing to pay extra if you can add an AR-added cyclop.

Thanks.

@dashindark, cyclop I think no AR more better (super glass), or at least need colorless AR.

Hi,
I am planning to buy this watch. I read the whole thread and as I want to avoid as many steps of later modding as possible I searched for a version which is as good as it gets OOTB. Nevertheless, I have some questions:

I found this watch: http://trustytimestore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=241_288&products_id=18610

It has the low beat mod and a swiss ETA 2846.

Does all written in this thread apply to this version as well? The caseback in the Video e.g. looks medium good in my eyes.
Does anybody own this particular version and can share his/ her experiences?
Since when, Trustytime is no more a TD? I think he was in the past, right? Is there a particular reason for it, or is it save to buy from him?

I am really looking forward to your answers.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
ossi

Yes, all the info written here apply to this version. I got this particular version but not from trusty as I had direct connection to someone I trust in rep industry. I did pay him a little bit more for better quality though.

If you don't like modding, don't do it and it remains one of the best reps OOTB. just FYI I have done two moddings in the last month: flexible endlinks ($30, shipping included), and JF caseback ($40+$10 changing caseback fee at a local watchsmith). It is very easy to source a HF or JF caseback and I recommend you to change the caseback. Modding for me is relatively inexpensive and effortless as I am located in Asia. The watchsmith in my community happens to be a retiree from SeaGull who moved from Tianjin to my city. He is superb in technique and solves a lot of troublesome problems at a very low price (I usually pay him about $10).

This watch is stunning on my wrist and I like when others think there is no crystal on the watch. XF used a very high quality 1xAR crystal which feels genlike. If everything goes well and there are no other high quality reps that I like (VC overseas 47040, the current JJF 9015 version sucks, or PP aquanaut) available in the market in the next two years. I will do further moddings on this watch, which may include the change of some internal parts and crystal or cyclop... anything can happen in a relatively long term though.

Better change the crystal and cyclops as well.
Stock crystal is alright, but the green tint is an obvious tell for the person who knows about ap.
Stock cyclops is a bit muddy and cloudy, so replace it is also important.

First of all, thank you very much for the long answers. So I guess I am save to buy this watch then. Just 2 more questions:
dashindark What do you mean by "better quality"? I do not care to pay some extra for a better quality :)

Is Trustytime a save source to buy from? What is the reason, he is no TD?

Cheers,
ossi
