The great thing about Bronze is that you can soak it in sea water like I am doing, or make it look like new again. That's the part of the popularity of these watches. If you want to let it be, that's great too. The possibilities are endless.

OK. This is another interesting point of view

post your a current shot of your bronzo and include any treatments you have applied to speed up the process!
please refrain from nit picking at faults as this is simply a thread to share my passion for a watch i love with fellow members

Gen owners do it for the same reason we do it. Not because I don't like the Patina. We want to experience the watch in it's virgin state, as well as different patinas. Not everyone here lives by the ocean.

Rep factories using same alloy as the gen? I highly doubt it. Even $1000+ gens get supplied with inferior materials sometimes, remember the Helson Shark Diver? They took it to a 3rd party laboratory and the alloy was different than what the supplier provided in their certificate. Quality bronze alloy is quite expensive.

+1

People are already complaining about prices. If a rep maker would use 100% accurate bronze as per gen, imagine the cost. Then folks would be screaming even more. It's a business, and just like Helson and other Bronze makers, they need to be smart with the money . If you want 100% accurate bronze as the PAM gen, guess what ? Buy a Pam gen. Don't expect that at a fraction of the cost.

Sounds to me the ONLY reason KW said their bronzo was about to be released was to hurt the ZF release. Last I saw a week or so ago the dials were done. I give it another month.

And that huge lot of bronze parts we saw had a huge amount of patina. Are you saying they won't clean them before they sell it? If it's natural and gen like why clean it...

+1 to u my bro. Still comparing a 25k gen to a 500 rep eh? Oh well. In the end what matters most, we are happy with what we paid for, patina, ugly or not. :)

Here's my bronzo. All natural patina :) Worn on the wrist maybe 2-3 days a week. Have had it about 4 weeks now. The rest of the time it either sits on my work desk or in a watch box.
