Mine was similar on my Jk (found out to be BP) case lol.

I got all the glue out got the crystal out, ordered a new crystal, ordered a new crown and tube. I attempted to thin out the crown guards and re-brush the bracelet. Also brushed lugs and polished the case.
Any comments or criticisms are more than welcome.

The front of the rug should be gently sloped to improve its appearance.

The sides of the bracelet should also be hairline.

I’m reading that this might be a BP case not a JK case… Will your method still work for this type of case? I’m afraid if I get the crystal out I won’t be able to find one to match back up.
I see you got it off on the other thread! I was sure I saw a pic of a watch case with a retaining ring, which was the post I was 'answering' - must have been someone else's picture... Was not paying enough attention!

Edited: still not paying enough attention as you posted on this thread as well :D

I have a little dilemma… I have really small wrists, meaning it’s very difficult for me to use a 93150 bracelet on the 5513 since the clasp lands so far down on my wrist (5 links on the 6’o clock position and 4 links on the 12 o’clock position).

Is there an easy fix for this?

keep the bracelet as is, and mount it inverted.
ie the crown on the clasp faces down when you turn your wrist

That’s a good idea, which it was possible to solely flip the clasp around.. Thanks!

Try it out without messing with the clasp. Full bracelet flip.

The point is that the two metal tangs underneath will set better on your wrist curve. This is the usual way to deal with smaller wrists while keeping the bracelet balanced

You can do a small wrist mod on the 93150/93250 bracelets by taking the clasp apart and removing the in-built link to get a 4 link per side setup. I’ve done this on a couple of bracelets.

You’ll need to get a spare 18mm friction pin as you may end up destroying the stock one during removal.

Hello everyone,

New to the topic that I've been following for a while now.
I learned a lot here and thank you for that.
I would like to have your opinion on this 5513.

Specification :
- JFK case reworked at the horns
- Eta 2836 movement (already in stock in my drawer)
- Helenarou dial with aged CousinUK hands / cousinUK insert
- Plexi XS303.472 from Sternkreuz
- Raffle bracelet
- Horn drill with 2mm bar
- Crown / tube 702 athaya and Athaya pearl

I opted for a slightly “worn” side, with its dings and flaws.

Always in a desire to improve, any advice is welcome.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

The sides of the Raffles bracelet are mirrored, so a hairline finish would make it look better.

Casework, insert and crystal look good
Bracelet ageing should match the head

Thanks for the pics of the Cousins Mercedes hands…I was hesitant to buy them as the drawing listed on their site had a weird slanted shape

HR dial as good as always

As a personal preference, I would slightly fade the bezel, texture the dial and slightly oxidize the hands

Great work !

Thank you for your opinions and advice, indeed concerning the texture of the dial, I clearly agree, but certainly a fear of missing out...

I was also wondering about the clark bezel: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2565734729...MXKWEA&hash=item3bbcf880ac:g:qDcAAOSw9cli9nte

Does it create a real change compared to the original JFK and above all, does it adapt easily?

What piece would be a good investment for this closer to a real one at my level?

Thanks again for your answers

It would be a question here of making a brushed effect instead of the polish if I understand correctly?

Anybody figured out a case back gasket for this thing? I’m about to give up on any water resistance, but the 5513 gasket I ordered off eBay ain’t it apparently. I can fit a fingernail between the case back and case screwed down as tight as a rubber ball will get it.

What would you guys say is the “most accurate” seconds hand for a 5513 build? The ones I have found either the lume circle is too small, or it’s too big.
