BTF 126500 LN Daytona with DD4131 Movement!

So . . . I've Just ordered the black dial. I was going the VSF + 4130 option, but pivoted last minute. A more accurate case and crown with a Clean dial swapped in is my preference over the other. I'm at peace.
I don't have a BTF but I do have the VSF and Clean. I couldn't agree more that DD4131 feels like SH4131 in terms of how it winds. Too bad that my DD4131 is broken but my SH4131 is running fine. Tough luck I guess.-BTF left -Clean right (deep crystal)
I have had the btf black dial for a couple weeks and clean panda for a few months.
I can’t tell the difference between the DD4131 and cleans SH4131. They both feel the same when winding and the same on the wrist( rotor movement and noise)
I thought it would be an instant tell between movements because the DD4130 and SH4130 feel very different. DD felt ALOT better
I own 2 btf Daytonas from the 116xxx series and the crystals are different comparing them to the 126xxx. Old gen is very clear (I think double ar coating) while the new gen can see more reflections.
In my opinion btfs stock crystal is fine and doesn’t need to be changed.
The subdials look thinner in real life vs looking at them in photos. It’s strange.. I even compared it right after taking this photoI’m guessing it has something to do with the phone changing the lighting vs what I can see irl?
Both bracelets feel exactly the same to me. I’ll report back as I wear them over time.
I compared my GEN with VSF and Clean side by side, Clean has the most accurate case. But the differences are really small on VSF too.

Just a small nit pick. I see people use "winding smoothness" as some kind of determining factor in how good a movement is. That really doesn't tell me anything about quality of movement.....

In the end, my reasoning was that it's easier to replace a dial on an otherwise almost perfect rep (IMO), than it is to replace a crown, crystal, and then still having to reshape CGs, if it's a watch I want to keep long term.

Agreed. It doesn’t mean anything and I wish it would die along with ‘butter’ as a unit of reference.

Just arrived. First daytona and starting to see what the fuss is all about. Spent a long time deliberating over the factory and happy with the choice so far. Will update in a month or so

it seems the BTF’s bezel is brighter in all your photos. Wondering if it’s a general thing for 126 series because I think for 116 series BTF has relatively shallow engravings which appesr to be brigher.Black btf

General consensus is btf for black, clean for white. I like the design of the new movt and it didn't cost a great deal more than a SBF. Nothing to compare it to but happy so far. Here's a lume shot too
From what I've read, yes definitely Clean is the way to go for the white dial, that being said, I really cant get myself to get Clean yet, when the writing for chronometer spacing still seems like its written like CHRONOM E T E R.
