I went into a AD recently and I've noticed the blackbird and GMT didn't have very good AR (surprisingly for Breitling). I think the GF reps are actually pretty close in terms of AR strength to gen. Or maybe it was just the lighting and angle I was looking at, but there was quite a bit of reflection especially with the blackbird.

Gen Avenger Blackbird does not have the best AR, that's true.

For me it's very obvious that gen AR is much stronger.

Good AR is important to me too as it makes the dial pop so I'm interested to see how my GMT looks when it arrives (hopefully) next week.

Not read all 19 pages - but the crown guard is big tell imo. Also the colour of the triangle marker on the bezel at 12.

So what is it about the crown guards that is such a big tell in your opinion and what do you mean by the triangle on the bezel is the wrong colour? Please be more specific as the rest of us have obviously missed these.

Ha ha you must be joking. You're new to this so you won't realise those aren't flaws they are just differences in the lighting on some fairly poor photos. Do you honestly think that half the crown guard is missing as in your last picture? By the way if you zoom the picture you can see the rest of the crown guard. You need to spend more time studying the watches and whats said in the thread, which you admit to not reading, and looking at other pictures of this watch in detail before suggesting you can spot something loads of others have missed. We're not that inept you know. The GMT is in the super rep list in the main forum and watches only get on that after in depth reviews from experoenced members who have the watch in hand and have either seen the gen or own one as does one of the contribitors to this thread. Anyway have fun here on RWI.

I think a generic ETA 2836 datewheel should work. The font is the same AFAIK.

In my limited experience, every rep including the super-reps need a relume to match the Gen and a 2AR for Omega/ Breitlings. I had a relumed PAM243 earlier and sending in my latest acquisition the 029 soon for the same.

CousinsUK have the 2836 overlay which is pretty damn close and about £9. They probably have the wheel too if you ask them. 1 is correct.

Hello friends. no one has yet spoken of the index of the bezel at 12. I bought from Toro the avenger gmt blue dial, the watch is fine, I installed a new calendar disk and an original Prodiver 3 rubber strap.But it is recognized by leagues by this index at 12 o'clock, that the original has a small crystal of color similar to green, and the replicas are totally white. I have had the original in my hand and it shows the difference. I also have a blacksteel and the same thing happens. in the official website of breitling you can see the "pearl" of the bezel at 12 o'clock and it is not white.

The pearl is different anyway because on the rep the pearl is flat. How do you feel is the gen rubber compared to the rep?

The rep strap is very good. Only difference is that is more dust attract and less flexible(little) than the original.
